My comically large testicle

Postby Anfornee » Sun Oct 09, 2022 2:38 am

I had the coloplast titan implanted on 9/12. Surgery was text book and my recovery was very fast I’m 53 and the surgery was necessary after a venous leak left me where trimix wasn’t even an option.

Up to now this sounds great. But after week 2, I started to develop a hematoma in the side of the scrotum with the pump. I did the ice, rest, elevate routine. It got progressively worse. I’m at week 4 now and have seen the surgeon 3 times to evaluate the issue and he said his last resort was surgical. I get that. Less openings for infection.

I was not prepared for the growth of the hematoma over the last 4 days. My inner sac is stretched to capacity and it’s now painful. I can’t feel the pump anymore.

My next appointment is Tuesday but if it starts to hurt any more than now I may need a trip to the er. Has anyone had a similar issue and what was the remedy?

Not a hematoma that got worse, but an infection. For me, the infection did not do anything in the sense of giving me any outward symptoms. Something kept nagging at me that there was something that was not right about the surgery. Had original surgery is late August, revised surgery in Dec., then again for Titan implant March of following year.

That’s a lot of surgeries in a short time. I’m starting to think this is an infection. I started running a fever. I go in tomorrow and doc said if it’s an infection the implant has to come out. I’m not thrilled about that prospect at all. Thanks for the input.

I really appreciate that! I’ll roll with whatever comes my way. The surgeon did a great job. I lost no length and just a slight bit of girth. I’d hate to have to start over.

Who was your surgeon?
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.

Chirag Dave. Advanced Urology in Marietta GA. I used them for a previous prostate issue and to treat the ED that was getting progressively worse. Great office and Staff. I lost no length at all (which shocked me) and only a little girth. Other than this issue I’m happy with the implant and the level of care.

I’ll fill in the profile in the next few days.
