Infection concern

Postby Badspartan » Wed Oct 05, 2022 9:39 am

Went to the urologist yesterday to get my implant scheduled and he is very reluctant to do it. I’ve had issues in the last couple of years with UTI’s and also lost a limb due to staph infection. Therefore he is going to allow the infectious disease doc decide if it’s okay to proceed. I currently do not have an infection and it’s been over 3 months. Anyone else had this issue?

I think your doctor is making the right decision to get the green light from infectious disease specialist prior to the implant.

If that were me I'd definitely get the OK from my infectious disease doc. You don't want any infection, period, but especially not there! Be safe, good luck.
