Pain/stinging and burning

Postby iwantanewone » Tue Sep 06, 2022 8:54 am

Good morning all-
I have an ams 700 CX implant…. 16 weeks…..Once the initial pain and soreness started to subside at about 6 weeks I began cycling…..1hr per day….after first sexual activity at 8 weeks I have burning and stinging in the tip/head of my penis. I’ve seen my surgeon 2 times. I had a complete urine panel….not just the urine dipstick….no sign of UTI….just the burning and the stinging. I have the urge to pee often once the stinging begins which is a symptom of uti….Doctor says we will wait until 6 months before taking any action. I’ve taken around of Bactrim in case of uti. No real change. I do not have burning or stinging all day long.
I don’t want my urethra to continue rotting if this is infection. I don’t think this is an implant infection. Maybe no infection at all. Maybe continued healing. Tired of the worry, stinging and burning.

Is this the tips in the head keeping me aggravated as I continue to cycle and stretch everyday?

Anyone have these symptoms this far out of surgery? Ideas/thoughts?

Not sure if the AMS implants have antibiotic impregnated on the cylinders like a Coloplast. That antibiotic made my shaft feel like it was sunburned for almost 5 months. The sensation would get worse after inflating.
Not sure if you're feeling more pain while peeing or in general. I used Aspercream to ease the burn, a small dab smeared on my shaft kept the burn down for several hours.
No UTI but still burning while urinating could be a side effect of a med you're taking maybe? Lack of hydration?

I have had that symptom too (along with others) and I was diagnosed with prostatitis. (Inflamed prostate). I also took that same antibiotic. I had the 700cx put in in April of this year in Nashville. I had a catheter for 3 days (due to oversight by Dr) and the catheter agitated the prostate. I am still in discomfort and mine appears to be chronic.

For a few months following implant, I had pain in my glans when fully inflated. It gradually went away as my dick gained size. Now, never have any pain. It takes time for the body to adjust to a new foreign object, particularly in our sensitive dicks and balls.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

to my knowledge the ams implants all come out impregnated with antibiotic from the factory, the coloplasts are soaked in antibiotic by the implantologist, he chooses the antibiotic to put

I do not see where you specified how long ago your surgery was. You mentioned sex at six weeks, so you are at least that far out from surgery, but how much longer has this been going on?

I have this question: If you inflate fully (not for sex), how long before the pain/burning starts? How quickly does it come on and how quickly does it go away when you deflate? I am wondering if it is just the implant distal tips pushing on the inside of your glans.
