Surgery followup

Postby Mr Timex » Wed Aug 24, 2022 7:44 am

My implant was August 1st. Yesterday I saw my surgeon for the first followup. He used a model of the implant bulb to show me how it worked. When he said “give it eight or ten pumps and it will be ready for sex” I misheard him.
I thought he had said “In eight or ten months you will be ready for sex”. I responded with a quick “Huh?!@“

Not yet. But it hasn’t been “activated “ yet. I wonder how they activate it?

My understanding is you give the bulb a quick, hard squeeze, which moves the valve to the active position. Then you are ready for the slower squeezes which inflate the device.

My doc told me to "go use it."
My guess is if your doc said give it pumps and you're ready for sex, that's activated! As long as your incision is healed looks like it's time to go for it.
However, I'm not your doctor. I'd call them and ask if you're good to activate.

I understood that term was for the inflate/deflate lesson & the recommended cycling
Not anything mechanical to the implant.

Doc said he would consider it in two weeks when I see him again. I tend to follow doctors orders so I won’t try to inflate without his say so.

Interesting the different time frames. I left the hospital inflated at 60% for 6 long, solid weeks. Then I saw the surgeon (high volume doctor) and he deflated and then instructed me to inflate for 1 hour per day for 3 more months. Still in that process. Kind of tired of making something hard- even though that's what I paid for. :D :D
Was cleared to have sex at the 6 week follow up- deflate session...  :D

That's where I'm at now. This is week three plus. Ideas how to hide the bulge? I use sweat pants and waist fanny packs.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

Actually Tokyo…. I was too sore to hide anything. So, i stayed in the house for six weeks…  never in my life… I had people come and visit after my “hernia operation”.
Fortunately, i brought the hospital gown home with me and wore that when people were here as it was more “comfortable”…. Hope your 6 weeks goes by quickly!
