Advice on condoms

Postby Endoftheline » Mon Aug 08, 2022 5:29 am

I had a test run last night where I tried to roll down a condom onto my implant, it was surprisingly painful! The pain starts from under the glans until I get to the non sensitive part of the shaft. Any tension there is still achy and painful. Should I roll one on while flaccid and pump it up? Or will this go away as i keep cycling?
29 years old and suffered from ED for over 16 years
I had hard flaccid (Potentially Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction) , turned to long flaccid after priaprism incident.
implanted June 24 2022

L: 5.7 G: 5.0 (no arousal)

I don’t have an opinion on this yet as I am only four days into cycling, but I do plan to use it this weekend if you know what I mean. And I plan to use a condom. They make condoms with desensitizing agents and I’m thinking this is the best option, especially for the first time. I can report back here later and let you know. But, I think this seems like a good move.
could you have a (new) latex allergy? Those do happen. Or maybe the antibiotics are reacting to the condom? Just thinking of ideas.

i dont think so, its caused by the constriction of the ring thats supposed to roll down to the base of your shaft, when i roll pasty my glans it HURTS. its been 46 days since surgery and im still cycling. so i hope this goes away. no way i can put a condom on without wincing, which would look weird

In a few months it wont matter. You can find a looser fitting brand of condom for the time being.

Thx for response. This is something I haven’t considered (constriction of the ring) I’m glad you mentioned it. I should do a trail run!!!

Even today, almost three years since my 10/28/19 surgery, a condom isn't very comfortable to me. It hurts on the sides of my penis near the base, at its widest part. Since I'm not round anymore and it's wider than thick, the most of the pressure from the condom's ring is on the sides at the widest part. I'd prefer bareback where possible and accepted but I'll wear the condom if the partner requests or requires one.

Is this a matter of finding the right size? Some natural penises are not round either (they're more flat like with an implant).

All I know is the same off-the-shelf brands of condoms were nowhere near as uncomfortable before I was implanted, when my penis was round instead of oval. As a matter of fact, I used to have something of a condom fetish because a condom stretched tightly over the glans during masturbation was an unusual and stimulating sensation. Now I'd rather not use them at all with the possible exception being occasionally to contain any "mess" when masturbating.
