Stench/Smell of implant

Hey guys, one thing I haven't seen in here is if the implant makes you smell any different. I can almost constantly smell like a burning rubber or a new plastic smell or something pretty gross, not regular BO. I was just riding in a truck with my buddy who knows about the implant and he asked if I was leaking saline solution because I wreaked, I could smell it as well.

Anyone have any insight on this phenomenon or does it go away etc? Really an odd smell and hard to describe but my nuts wreak of it even sometimes after being freshly showered. Pretty gross smelling. It smells like what I would think the implant smells like or maybe the antibiotic material around it? I'm not sure.

Having the gf take a smell test tonight to triple confirm it but it's pretty prevalent in my mind.

I don’t think the implant made me smell any different. At least not in a burning rubber/industrial petrochemicals/Houston ship channel sort of way. (guys who have spent any time at all around Pasadena/Baytown/Channelview know the smell I’m talking about).

That being said, my wife has fussed about me needing to shower more frequently….but her opinion is I’m more like a buck in rut/17 yr old male after football practice sort of odor. Hormonal and everything to do with libido and nothing to do with the implant.

Grrrr the differences between men & women. My idea of good sex is in the back seat of my truck with no air conditioning. Hers is me freshly showered, presenting flowers and reciting poetry, on a canopied bed with British servants downstairs.

Bottom line: if I stink differently, it’s because of high T and a dick that works, not because I have a couple of silicon tubes in a supporting role as my corporeal bodies.

You better talk to your Dr. about this issue.
He/she may want you to come in.
Take a good shower, fresh underwear, etc. then go visit and let them try to figure it out.
As far as I know, everything should be sealed up.
How far along are you after implant?
It may also NOT be the implant. Got someone there to help you out and figure out where the smell is coming from?

I'll take a guess on this. I'm thinking its an antibiotic coating or perhaps a antibiotic wash they put on your implant. Might even be some oral meds that you were given. I bet most men might not exude the scent this long but you might be the exception.
Don't dimiss the manly scent. I've had at least 2 women in my life that grilled me about what I was wearing. Neither were my wife or even very close friends. I firmly believe that people have "signal" scents. Its well known & used in the husbandry industry. Why wouldn't it exist in humans?

And I'm not sure, it's definitely coming from my balls, and my farts and shits. Smell just crazy weird. No clue what it could be. I'm a month post op and not in any meds anymore so maybe I'll give it a week....so far it only bothers me really but it's like a baby puke type smell. Anyways, just haven't heard of it on here so wondering if anyone had any info on something like this....

In the same thought pattern….you’re not showing any symptoms of infection are you? No fever, low grade or otherwise? No night sweats? No tenderness or “hot spots” when you grope yourself? It would be unlikely but not impossible to grow a low grade infection of some kind but I’m not enough of a doctor to say what kind. Bottom line is that infection is the one thing post-op you don’t mess around with. And certain bacteria can cause stuff to stink (think foot fungus or the pus from a boil). If that’s what is going on there ought to be other symptoms besides odor but a consultation with doctor might be worthwhile.

Last note: I read your signature block…a month into this, don’t agonize about returning to original size. Granted I’ve got AMS but I didn’t even START to see improvement from cycling until about 3rd month and my biggest gains came back between month 6 and .12.

Thanks for the professionalism. No, no other symptoms or fever or hot spots, I think all is good. My incision is 99% healed although sometimes with dabbing it with hydrogen peroxide it does bubble so maybe still some healing to do.

And not too concerned about size and gf says the girth and hardness do way more than the 1/2" length lost. And I am too confident I will gain some of that back in time.

If the smell lasts more than a few more days I may have to check in with the doctor. I can smell it nearly constantly in my nostrils. It smells like what I imagine the implant would smell like. It's very quite odd and was surprised nobody had ever brought this up in the forum before.

i noticed the same problem, but i think its doe to the fact my pump doesnt allow for my scrotum to move around. so if i sleep on my side my balls get really sweaty.

this issue sorted itself out over the next few weeks.

That doesn't sound right.

You should be fully healed and selaled...no way anything related to the implant or antibiotics could cause your testicles to smell--unless you are NOT healed. In which case you need to see you doc ASAP.

If your shit smells different, could be body reacting to the antibiotics nuking your gut biome...my take awhile to reestablish healthy mix.
