Went from AMS to Titan

When inflating the AMS, the first squeeze resulted in an almost audible click or pop indicating the backflow prevention mechanism (or whatever it's called) is in place and inflation can occur. Not so with the Titan. When deflating AMS, there's no doubt when deflating starts due to rapid pressure relief and slight vibration. Not so with the Titan. This is my experience and wondering if my Titan pump is defective or acting as it should.

I have the Coloplast Genesis pump and it’s not easy to see it deflating unless it’s pumped up to the max. I definitely have to hold the deflate bar and squeeze the shaft.

I too went from AMS to Titan. I have same observations on inflation and deflation. Additionally, my Titan makes a racket on inflation. Not possible to do a subtle inflate, unless one were to pass it off as thirty or so small farts. (A mood killer there)

Did the warranty cover that brand change or did you just pay for the entire change?

I was concerned that insurance would force me to use the warranty and stay with AMS when Dr wanted to switch to Titan, but they paid the claim without any issues.

In my case the AMS failed after 3 years and the Dr doing the revision believed the Titan was better suited to my anatomy.

My Titan makes very little noise when inflating. Deflating I have to hold the deflate button while squeezing my shaft. Only once it made an audible click when doc deflated me at 6 weeks post.

I've seen several references to doctors choosing AMS or Titan depending on anatomy. I really don't know the reason for this as they are both similar products that come in a variety of sizes. Why would a certain brand be better for one's anatomy?

In my case, I have been told that becuase I have PD causing an unstable erection with a hinge, a titan implant would be more appropriate as it provides more rigidity. I have also been told that a titan can result in extra girth where an AMS can result in extra length.
