Ice packs
On 3rd day out from implant and truly understand all previous comments read about ice packs becoming your best friend. Taking motrin and Gabapentine for pain issues. Biggest issue is scrotum pain on left side were pump is residing. After PCa with RARP, radiation and ADT with times of neglect due to treatments, I seem to have fallen into the use it or lose it negative side. Believe testicles lost a little in size but pump in there with swelling is causing sharp pain. Feels like a needle poking around when I move. Found if I lift pump and hold it while getting up I can avoid sharp pain. I have read articles saying to use heat at times for pain and swelling so does anyone have any advice on ice and/or heat. THANKS
Second IPP Titan / Genesis. Experienced pretty much everything negative up to implant. Lost @ 2 inches from plication and atrophy. Willing to show and tell just an ordinary penis. Wish I had IPP much sooner.

Re: Ice packs
Sorry you're hurting. The first few weeks are tough.
I never used ice packs. Sometimes heat but my best relief was a hot bath once my doc cleared me to bathe. Lots of pain meds that did nothing for me but make me nauseous. Found that THC eased my pain the best.

Hi Norcol
I hope your doing better each day. I'm set for the 13th. I have been waiting 18 months.
From what you've said so far...it seems right on plan. I look forward to following your posts these next ten days.

Re: Ice packs
I did not use heat until activation at about 3 weeks. I used ice packs for about 5 days. But we are all different. Some may need ice packs longer or shorter. The rule I used was swelling. As long as I have a lot of swelling I used ice pack. I used heat to soften the pump and cylinders for cycling.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Yikes. Sorry you are in pain.
I found that by day 3 I was more "uncomfortable" than in pain - and found that the frozen bag of peas packs from CVS quite a relief. I usually have a blanket and comforter on our bed and did find that the added "weight" was uncomfortable and contributed to some discomfort. I found too, putting a pillow between my lefts (keeping them spread slightly) gave the sac a little less pinching and pressure.
Hang in there. Hope you are finding relief soon!

Re: Ice packs
Ice pain is a must if you had prescrotal incision.. It needs to heal.. Infrapubic no ice pain is needed but hot bath is needed from day 4 usually( so that accessibility is easier to pull the pumps down)..
