Hello… I am day eight into recovery… The pain is very manageable now but I have suffered.
it’s been very painful… I can still not sit down on a chair… But I can recline and stay out of bed for a while now. … Just wondering how many people had regrets at day nine and when will I be like OK the worst is over and I’m going to survive and not notice every new part in my body…
Also, I really can only lay in my bed I’m not able to get on my side as I’m inflated 60% for six weeks… I am not a back sleeper, therefore I wake up several times a night… Did anybody replying to this find the same thing as far as having to stay on your back during the initial recovery for weeks?
All replies are appreciated and do make you feel better when you read that what you’re feeling is normal and you’re not just loaded with anxiety! Thanks guys!

Re: Regrets
My post-op orders were to stay in bed for 7 days. No sitting or recliners. I could barely stand to go to the bathroom and sitting was just nearly impossible. I actually took another week off and spent alot of that time flat on my back. I was miserable the first week. I used alot of cold packs to dull the pain and took my pain meds on schedule.
I am now a month out and feel fine. You are still in the early painful stage and I bet you feel alot better in about another week. In a month you should have it whipped. Hang in there.

Thank you for your reply squirrel… The more positive stories I hear in the more people say that now every day gets better the more I can believe it and not just laying here thinking oh my God what did I do?! Glad you are doing so well… Wishing you the best… Thanks again

Putting a pillow between your legs when side-sleeping will be very helpful. You will make sure that the implant and pump doesn't touch anything. Nothing abnormal so far. Hopefully, the pain will go away very soon.

Sorry you had to endure this but you can do it. Think about the future potential. What's in store for you. It's worth the pain for the years of pleasure. Put some nice music take pain meds as needed and relax. If the pain is over bearing do check with your doctor. As long as you don't see any bleeding, high fever, vomit nausea or see any parts open wounds etc you should be fine and everything is taking its time. Everyone has different body and timelines to heal. Just follow doctors instructions. God bless. We are here to support and help. I sent you a PM.
