Hey guys… I had my implant done on May 17… I had a complication where my bladder went to sleep from the anesthesia and I had to be catheterized and overnight in the hospital… It’s a very strange feeling now first of all I am in extreme pain just from the operation which no one on here seems to mention extreme pain but I don’t notice the same feeling when I have to pee like my bladder is telling my brain to pee… It’s like my penis will start hurting more and then I know I have to pee… Has anyone had any strange peeing issues or problems immediately after implant and did it resolve? Any thoughts suggestions and personal stories will be greatly appreciated…
Also, I am extremely swollen and the testicles… Black and blue like grapefruits and a very black and blue swollen penis as well so not sure if that has anything to do with a peeing problem…
Thank you….ams 700 CE

Re: Pain/urination
Sorry to hear you're having lots of pain and urinating issues. After my catheter was removed it hurt to pee for a few days, but it got better. After my implant the pain meds doc gave me did squat. I was at a 9/10 pain so he gave me narcotics. Those helped but made me constipated to the point that hurt just as bad. Take it easy, lie on the couch, ice packs to the groin and keep up on the pain meds.
Day 1 & 2 the anesthetic kept me knocked out. Day 3 I was asking myself "What the hell did I let them do to me?" Now at 2+ years it's the best thing ever.

Re: Pain/urination
I was implanted on the 18th so a day after you. I’m mummy wrapped and mine was done infrapubic… also catheter was not used….having very little pain but I am pumped to maybe 30-40%. Hard to tell with the soft cast on it. My glans is sticking out the tip and my pump and testicals hang out the bottom. As far as urinating I have to push pretty hard to get urine thru the shaft as it’s pumped and wrapped so a bit of pressure on it. And also don’t get the normal feeling of needing to pee until it’s pretty bad and feel it all the way to my penis. Find myself almost having to pump urine out with pressure from the bladder.. no pain except where the resivor is in my abdomen. I’m assuming this is normal. I remove the packing myself Saturday, and will go back to Dr next Wednesday to have drain removed and Dr check it out. Not sure after that but don’t think I’ll get to start pumping for several weeks more.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast with Classic pump 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong

Re: Pain/urination
Yes I had same issue not very painful but bit painful after they remove catheter. Walking a lot helped. First pee was very difficult and I peed a lot. I did totally feel like it was full but couldnt pee but finally did it. It did hurt for 2 days and the flow was slow too and sprayed everywhere.Today it felt lot better better flow and very less pain
It will get better. Just walk and easy up.
