Would pulling down the pump help?—pl guide

Postby subhash » Sat May 07, 2022 5:01 am

I was implanted on the 1st of Sept 2021. To solve the problem of protruding tubing, a urologist has suggested that I massage the scrotum with oil and then pull down the pump daily for 3 weeks. He claims this would make the tubing look less obvious and maybe solve the problem.
I am terrified that this might damage the implant . I have read stories on FT of men pulling down the pump in the shower a few days after surgery. But could I do it at this stage and do you guys think it might solve the problem
Any inputs would be appreciated.

I was told after implant to soak in hot water and pull down on pump. I am not sure at this stage it would help but you could try it, just don't overdo it.

Yes it can but be careful not to do this too much because you could damage the tubing

Pull down gently holding the "bulb"....don't need to pull hard or pull far....just a little pull several times a day...just a little pull...

Good luck man!

I went for one year postop appointment and Dr. looked at my pump and said that he can surgically lower it to make it less noticeable because mine came out a little high due to the sling that he did to control my incontinence.

Did you actually go through the procedure? Any complications thereafter?
