Tips to Maximize Lifespan of Implant

Any tips on things to avoid / or things to proactively do in order to maximize lifespan?

- e.g. pumping technique - is it ok to pull the pump to the side and pump. Or is it better to just keep it in the implanted position and pump?

- Is using something like a donut cushion while sitting helpful so the pump isn't pressured?

- Any idea what may cause the tubing leaks in Titans? Are there certain positions that may be better avoided?

- I've already read enough to know a number of people have done hehavy squats and deadlifts without really impacting the implant, so I'm ok on the gym point. Moreso thinking about pumping techniques, sleeping positions, etc.

Thanks.

Just use it - failures in my AMS700 were due to poor placement of the pump and tubing (caused kinks that eventually cracked (same as a garden hose does). If your device is placed correctly it should not matter how you have the pump when you want to inflate (within reason). Avoid kinking the tubing and you will be fine.

Shouldn't need to sit on anything - the pump is fine in its ballsack of a home. lol

Picture a straw like you might get at McDonald's, if you bend it sharply it will kink.

The one thing my doctor told me is to inflate and deflate daily.

According to him, that will help keep everything in good working condition.

I think my Dr suggested steadying the base of pump with the other hand while pumping. Keeps it from twisting and maybe pulling in the tubing. Especially when you slip off the pump ☹️

Seriously. Use it till it breaks. Get it fixed. Use it till it breaks. Get it fixed.

Very simple answer.
