Considering Implants, Need Advice

Postby bullockn91@gmail.com » Mon Apr 04, 2022 8:18 am

Hello,

I am a new member but have been fighting ED unsuccessfully my entire life. My case is so advanced that vacuum devices and pills have failed. Also, I am probably one of the youngest members, 29, and my ED is due to a genetic condition, Norrie Disease which means I have been blind since birth.

My urologist recommended a Coloplast implant. My main question is that my SPL, flaccid length, is 3.5 inches. My urologist said this is average, but I disagree. The main goal of the surgery is to have an erection suitable for intercourse, but can I? My understanding is that once the implant is inserted, the penis will not expand. Am I hopelessly out of luck? Also wondering about loss of length and if that is regained.

Thanks for any advice.

Hey man, I'm also 29 and considering an implant. There are people our age in this forum with an implant, you aren't alone!

The most accurate measurement is when they cut you open on the table. The BPL length is only a rough estimate? How big are you fully erect?
29 years old and suffered from ED for over 16 years
I had hard flaccid (Potentially Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction) , turned to long flaccid after priaprism incident.

Welcome to the FT boards.
I battled ED from my 20's and NOTHING but the implant option provided stable solutions!

Welcome to the site. A web search will indicate that average flaccid size is just a slight bit over 3.5 at 3.61. This combines those who are growers (much shorter flaccid that grows) and longer flaccid that not so much. I was a grower and a stubby before implant and had a difficult time even being able to pull and stretch out my penis to pee standing up. I do not have a Titan but my LGX is much longer flaccid now and my erect size is 6.5".

What the Titan does is to have little difference in Flaccid and erect length. That does not mean you will be at your flaccid size now. It means you will be at or near you erect size always after surgery. Or a shower that has little difference in flaccid and erect size.

Good luck going forward with this and I hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. Unsure how to PM. To answer one poster, I don’t know my erect size. My erections are poor and partial.

I asked my urologist how big I would be after surgery and he told me my flaccid length, 3.5 inches. Confused. 3.5 is not long enough for intercourse? Maybe I need a second opinion?

Sounds like another crappy urologist.
That answer was stupid.
Even though it's ballpark, he could at least do a stretch.

Hi again,

He did a stretch of my flaccid length and got 3.5 inches. I guess my question is with the implant in place, will my length be any longer? Erect length?

Thanks

How did the vacuum device fail?
When in the vacuum, what was your length?
It seems like you would have to get some growth unless something is drastically wrong.
By the way, you didn't originally mention a stretch test.

Hi, that’s a great question. You would think my urologist would tell me being blind. The tension ring would slip, and I lost my erection.

I said SPL, stretched penis length. Sorry for not clarifying.

I have never had quality erections so maybe my penis has atrophied? It felt longer with the vacuum device.
