FMLFML85,
Interesting.
A couple of questions...
1 Is "nitrobid " the generic or trade name?
2 What strength?
3 How much do you use for each application.
4 Apply to the glans or shaft or both?
5 Do you have to wear a condom during sex?
Thank you,

1: Yes, thats the name. No generic. About $45 a 30mg tube.
2: Only comes in 2%.
3: Sounds like a 1/2" dab for chest application. Guessing a lot less for a penis.
It is a nitroglycerin product so expect the same potential warnings & side effects. I'm guessing that a condom would be very wise since it is a skin cream. Meant to apply to your chest for angina. So remember, this usage is "off label". Warnings specifically cautions against using with erectile drugs like Viagra due to potential severe low blood pressure.

FMLFML85 -- you may have stumbled on something big! In googling nitro bid there is much about its treatment for ED -- as a substitute for PDE-5's.

Since many of us on FT would like engorgement of the glans and more girth, this might be a solution. And I am not seeing the need for a condom, which would be a big drawback.
But it is intended for angina treatment and therefore must be used off label for ED, awaiting FDA approval.

There is a naturopathic doctor who treats ED and mentioned it in a FT post a year ago:

"I actually tried to get a nitroglycerin gel with a prescription for the drug "Rectiv" primarily used for rectal fistulas. However, the price for a 30 gram tube was close to $800.

I see now that it is available as a 2% cream, 30 gm tube under the name "Nitro-Bid for $45.

If you do try something like this, BE CAREFUL Nitroglycerine is used for heart conditions and can cause severe problems if misused"

There was also a study published by NLM a long time ago
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2493100/

Anyone else tried it or have an opinion?

Please FMLFML85 let's hope it's not another tolerance vulnerable med...

Wondering under what pretense did you get a scrip for it? My PC doc is pretty liberal but not sure he would go this far out on a limb...same goes for my uro

thanks for your posting about this -- hoping it might have widespread potential for us IPP guys
