bleeding from stitches

After not being able to deflate Wednesday night, i took myself to my local hospital yesterday and was quite 'aggressively' deflated there. Once deflated he noticed he had drawn blood from the stitches. He didn't seem concerned and wiped me down with a bit of tissue paper.

Today, whilst feeling around the pump i have aggravated the wound and drawn blood. I have again wiped it with kitchen roll and stuck a bit under between the open wound and my boxers.

Should i be concerned? Primarily about infection, especially due to my Diabetes. I will obviously halt any baths until it has healed but should i look to having it re-stitched? Its not gusting out and it doesn't hurt.

I would check with my doctor. But for wound care on both of my surgeries I was told to use Bacitracin ointment on incision until it healed. And I used a sterile 4x4 pad to cover.

I was told no baths until my 6 week follow up. Some kind of antibiotic ointment would probably help. If there is any discolored leakage, see a doctor asap.
