Implants for American X-Pat living Asia

Hi all. First post. Information on this board is just amazing. Extremely appreciated.

American 58 yrs, now living in Tokyo. Past few years have been especially hard on me due to the Covid lockdowns / lack of activity. Although I really appreciate Japan medical, extremely good, inexpensive (had an MRI done few weeks ago to check prostate for $80); however, for ED, Japan is a disaster. After searching Japan has no P-Shots. One shockwave place, somewhere, TRT consists of only a 250 shot every 6 weeks, no HCG, no testing, no nothing. They only test for Free testosterone (mine is a 4.1 pg/ML). Total testosterone, not tested. The rest of the tests, ferget-abouut-it. Does not exist. There is only one IPP surgeon throughout the entire country and it took me over six months to find this unicorn. After talk, there is no chance in heck I would consider him for surgery. Also he charges 3.7 million yen ($32,000 plus) for the implant (Titan only). After our conversation, he suggested that I do the surgery in America.

I wonder general suggestions; or what other American X-Pats have done for IPP surgery. I believe America is the best place to get this done. Are there recommendations for places set up to deal with us X-Pats in terms of places travel, place to stay, perhaps not needing to rent a car, etc. Concerned w/ logistics of getting this done. My worst nightmare is after the procedure that I arrive back here in Tokyo and then immediately get an infection.

After been searching this board, and really like Perito (the MTP series he created is amazing). All other advice appreciated.

Only 1 person can answer your questions......you. I'd suggest finding the easiest city that connects to Japan by air. Find a surgeon there. Something along the line of Karpman thru San Francisco. Someone in the Los Angeles area. You get the idea.
You have any family that can assist you? Good luck, its a big task.

Dr. Perito did my implant and I'm very happy with it. Dr. Karpman on the West Coast uses the same minimally invasive infrapubic technique, so he's another one to look into if you want an option closer to your side of the world.

Karpman is probably your best bet right on the west coast especially since he has good out of pocket costs.
