I talked to ralph yesterday he said everything looks ok (from an emailed pic) and to start moving around more. He also said i can start to have baths which was fantastic and the heat from that seems to have loosened everything up a tad. I'm going to see him on thursday.

Glad to hear.

Was your procedure NHS or private?

You won’t feel completely healed until about three weeks. Even then, you may have minor pain at the incision site. At least that was my experience. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen videos of the surgery, but that area of your body has been through some major trauma. It definitely gets better. And when you start inflating, that will be uncomfortable for awhile. I had surgery two months ago, and it’s still uncomfortable (not exactly painful) to inflate 100% But it’s because I’m hard as a rock, so that feels good. Patience and take care of yourself. Six days is not a lot.

My biggest problem is i over worry about infection. Did anyone elses balls start getting hot over a week after their implant? The colour and bruising seem to be improving, but they ache and they're hot.

Heat is a normal part of wound healing.

can i just say this again as it's really started to worry me, i always thought heat meant infection. Did anyone else who's been implanted feel heat around the pump, balls and bottom of shaft? Thanks

How is the scar? Is it red and inflamed? How long did you wait before having a bath?
Fingers crossed for you, this is my big worry.
I read it can be Upto 4 weeks before anyone can be sure there’s no infection

If you're concerned about infection you need to get in contact with your Dr. and soon. Don't dick around with your dick.

I've had 2 baths starting 7 days after surgery, but one of ralphs team told me i shouldn't today and should only shower. It's strange because some people seem to start having baths from day 3 and cycling.

Scar and glands are fine just this hot feeling internally. Maybe it's my immune system clearing blood and fluid as there was loads.

Artful, I’m telling you from a medical standpoint that heat can be a normal part of the wound healing process. Typical signs of wound infection are swelling and redness around the wound site, pus discharge, a general feeling of malaise, a fever of >38c and yes, heat can be one also.

Please do what Prof Ralph and his team instructed you to do. From what you’ve said, I really don’t believe you’ve got an infection but rather that this is all par for the course.

However, you shouldn’t be looking for medical reassurance from us. If you’re truly concerned which it seems you are and understandably so, contact the team and present to clinicians for rapid assessment. Ideally those in your implant team.
