Pump location in scrotum

Postby MrMann » Mon Feb 14, 2022 2:43 pm

Hello my bionic brothers,

I am a little over 3 weeks (24 days) post implant surgery with an AMS 700 CX. I went to see my surgeon on February 7th. He was not happy with the location of the pump in my scrotum, which by the way is not large, and manually moved it over which was very uncomfortable. He proceeded to deflate, re-inflate and partially deflate my implant. He gave me instructions to work on pulling the pump over and forward and to begin cycling the implant. By the time I got home that day, my scrotum was swollen, bruised and painful. After several days of swelling and discomfort, I was finally able to start the search for my pump bulb. From what I can tell, the pump bulb is about in the middle but very low and far back in my scrotum. I can feel the bulb however I can't move it up or forward. I am meeting with the AMS rep later this week.

I'm guessing that I may need revision surgery to shorten the tubing from the cylinders to the pump. Hopefully not. I'm looking for advice or information from any of my brothers that have experienced this or a similar situation and how it was resolved.

Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences.

Did you go with the CX due to Peyroines? Would be interested in results when you are ready to share. Thanks brother.

I had to have the CX due to my severe Peyronie's. It's been a year. Let me know if you have any questions about it from my point of view.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

I also have the CX because of Peyronie's. Those first weeks finding the pump and getting into a position to use, was tough. Mine was buried way in the back, very high. Using it made my sac sore. Somewhere around two months, suddenly I could easily move the pump wherever I want. When my sac is relaxed, the pump just seems to travel around wherever it wants to go. No pain, easy to use. Don't jump to any conclusions just yet. You are very early in the healing process, and no two men experience this in the same way. Glad you are seeing the AMS rep. I found him to be very helpful and responsive. Good Luck.

Can I ask you why is CX preferred in case of Peyronie?

As I understand, the CX can get extremely hard (stiff) and does the best job of overcoming curvature. In my case the plaque had narrowed the cavernosum on one side and my surgeon felt the CX's narrower cylinders were the only option for fit. I had a 60-degree curve going into surgery, and now maybe a 5-degree bend. It seems to me that the CX is the go-to for bad Peyronie's cases.

I actually disagree. If the CX was chosen for you because of the narrower cylinders then fair enough but I thinks it’s well known that a Titan is the go to for severe peyronies. The cylinders get harder than the CX and AMS and therefore do a better job of straightening the penis.

Maybe I’m just bias as I had a Titan fitted two days ago
Implanted by Mike Fraser in feb 2022 due to a 80 degree dorsal curvature. 18cm Titan - way undersized. 8’ pre Peyronies, 6’ pre implant - currently 6’.
