One year later

Postby Raycaba » Tue Feb 08, 2022 10:44 pm

It’s been a year this coming month and I must say it’s been the best thing I’ve done for me in a long time! I feel like I can use it anytime I want without any worries. My wife loves it also and she loves the fact not to have to work to try to keep me hard and I last as long as we want! Yes, it was painful the first three months but I got thru it and would do it again for more size in the future if needed. I got my insurance to pay for it last year but the premiums were very high monthly so I decided since surgery is done to change to a less expensive insurance. Now they call me for a follow up but the visit now is $400 for just to look at. Everything feels and works fine, should I just avoid this appointment till I have a problem? Thoughts?

Ray, you struck a nerve with me about Medicare supplements.
Ours went up 15% each year the last 2 years.
Now we pay over $700 each month and we are quite healthy.

Not to get political, but we are paying for the dummies who refused vaccinations and spend a month in the hospital.

The thing that is really criminal is the older we get, the more likely it is that we'll need this someday.
I'd feel pretty stupid if I kept this for 18 years and hardly needed it only to cancel it and need it.

Yes healthcare is a big issue that’s why I’m shocked at the $400 price for a visit!

Two years and 3 months out and the last time I saw doc was for my 6 week follow up. It works, me & the wife are happy, and yes it's one of the best things I've ever done for me and her. Long healing time for me, but I'd go through it again.
As far as insurances, every one has different rules it seems. I only had wife's work insurance (UHC) when my implant was done, and after some haggling to just get them to pay my co-pay was $3,400. I just had basic Medicare and the billing lady told me if I signed up for Medicare B the entire cost would have been covered. Lesson learned on Part B after that co-pay, so after 5 years without it I bit the bullet and started paying the monthly fee.

I don't think I'd bother with the follow up if in Ray's shoes.
My Medicare supplement is on top of what we pay for Med B.

We won't go broke paying for it, but it hurts to shop for sales then get screwed by an insurance company.
CVS bought Aetna awhile back and now they probably milk it for all they can get.
