4th implant in 3 years

Postby Pamen116 » Tue Feb 08, 2022 1:12 am

First doc: shorted with floppy glans -18cm 2 RTE/Titan - San Antonio Doc
Second doc: kink in cylinder sized perfect tho - 22cm 1 RTE/Titan - Dr Kramer
*(Kramer was booked then went through a season of not doing surgeries so I went with another close doc with good reviews)
Third doc: shorted with floppy glans - 18cm 3 RTE/AMS CX - Dr Kansas

Hoping to get my final and last revision for at least 5 years. Rigicon Infla 10- hoping to get at least a 22 cm implant with 2 RTE
30 yrs old. Current IPP failed in 2022. Waiting revision. No insurance. I’ve had both Titan & AMS.

Can you describe what you mean by kink in cylinders? What kind of issues did this cause you that made you need a revision?

I just had an implant done by Kramer and I’m less than satisfied to say the least. On another forum he was praised as being one of the best in the world but on this forum I’ve heard of a number of bad outcomes that required revisions.

Morning- yeah so the kink developed on the left corpora base, it was as if the implant came out of my corpora and was poking out. It was painful but everyone was trying to convince me it was normal. Here’s my thread from a few years ago with pics viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14500

Im still unsure what caused this but I have seen many folks talk about the kink/bulge at the base after surgery- some have lived with it and claim it’s gotten better over the years and some of reverted to surgery for revisions. What’s going on with you?

Think of kinks as hoses when rolled up. Sometimes, the roll just does not happen and the hose 'kinks'.
Most kinks dissappear when you inflate fully and can be tolerable when deflated. But big kinks....not when you are the guy actually having them are they not painful! If I went to the Dr's office for a kink that was hurting bad and they told me that...let's just say I am glad for FT because I would research.
Pump up a bit to relieve the pain. Wear baggy pants when pumped up, etc...

Holy Crap man, that's the bad luck story of all bad luck stories!
You've had so many surgeries you should be able to order the parts. Or maybe you have- a Rigicon Infla 10? Never heard of that one. Anyway, good luck and hope it works for many years for you.

Sorry about all the problems.
I live in the San Antonio area and had mine done at the Army Hospital Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). Army Major Dr Shane Barney did mine, but because I’m retired military I didn’t have a lot of choice of the brand installed. Dr Barney mainly used AMS 700 CX and LGX. He was going to install the CX, but during the surgery they changed to the LGX, maybe so I wouldn’t lose as much length.
I believe there were other urologist there that used the Coloplast Titian models but I didn’t get to talk to them.

Mine seems to be working fine, I’m 13 weeks out and the pain gets less and less during full pump up cycling every day.
Good Luck,

If you’re in texas why not just go with dr clavell.
instead of rigicon why not just titan 24cm with a bit taken off the end.

The surgery I’m getting next is free - I have no money or insurance at the moment. And personally don’t know when I’ll have it. This is a clinical trial with a renowned surgeon and he will only be doing Rigicon unfortunately
