Waiting to try out my new implant

Postby OldRover » Thu Jan 27, 2022 2:04 pm

Hi,
I'm at the 6 week point, after implant surgery and will be meeting with my Doc tomorrow to get this thing going.
What questions should I be asking, besides, operation, care and possible problems?
I believe my implant is the AMS 700 and some info from them, but not much. How long should I expect to get sex to a rather normal event, with minimal pain and good results?

Greetings O R,
First, Am I completely healed?
Next, Cycling? # Of times per day? After fully pumped, how long to hold the erection before releasing?

We were able to have sex at about 9 weeks, post-op. Carefully, but great. Be patient with your partner and use a lot of lube. You will be harder and thicker than you've in a long time, so go slow. At 12 weeks (+-) you should be able to do it like a bunny rabbit.
Enjoy your new toy,

Make sure they check the incision to see if you're fully healed. At 6 weeks post you should be. Ask about cycling, how long, how much. Ask about sex, but sure they will let you know. First sex for me was about 6 weeks post. It was good but I hurt afterward from being too rambunctious. Go easy. If you get sore a hot bath was my relief.

You are young-how was your recovery? And at what week were you comfortable for first sex? I am a week out of surgery and have surprisingly little pain over all and have been able to walk and motivate pretty much as normal. however cycling to just 40-50% yesterday was a bit uncomfortable with the pump hard to work. After that experience I joked with my partner...plan on September. I assume things will improve quickly over the next 2-3 weeks?
Age 54, venous leak and some scarring, tried daily/occasional Cialis for awhile then a few months various doses of tri/quad mix. Either helped and would produce 50-60%.erections, but never really full. Implanted 1/20/22 26cm” Titan- Dr. Hakky

Thanks for all the replies.
The Dr visit went well, however, I found it very hard to pump up at all, and very hard to find the deflate valve... so, right now, not sure how well it's working.

Seems to pump up a bit, hard enough to have very mild intercourse, with lots of lube. It was fair and I didn't cum.

Now I'm not really sure I'm working things right. The rigidity hasn't changed noticeably since I've began "playing" with it. It seemed somewhat stiff just because of the implant, with no pumping.... probably enough to slide it in with a lot of lube.

So, it's a slow start. I've tried several times to pump it up and it just doesn't get anywhere... certainly not close to hard. I'm far from any kind of "scheduled exercise".

Do I need to just keep playing with it?

(PS, how do I get email notification of posts?)

Thx

Old Rover here is my recent experience since I had the install recently 5 Nov 21, sex the first time was awkward (pumping up) and moderately painful at week 6, especially the distal part that goes down to the crus pubic bone, but it was great to be back even with the pain. It has gotten better each time, I’m at week 12 now and our most recent sex was awesome and I believe it will get even better. I’m still healing so I don’t pump it up ahead of sex; I did one time before sex, pump it up for approximately 30 to 40 minutes prior and boy did it hurt when we had sex but I did get through it.
Do your device cycling every day, pumping up to the max that you can pump it. My doctor told me once a day for 6 months, but I will probably do it for a year. I also do stretching exercises in a warm sits bath, pumping it up around 13 times holding at the base and moving it up, down, side to side many times to loosen up internally and then pumping it up more and repeat.
Some guys don’t have a lot of pain, but some do, we are all different.
Right now I can pump it up to steel spike level at 30 pumps and I can handle that for 30 minutes, at 20 pumps, I can go for an hour.
I’m just a newbie also, there are lots of folks on FT that have more experience, but this has been my journey so far.

Old Rover

It takes a little bit of time to find the best pump up technique for you.
The one that works best for me is to hold the top of the pump in place with my left hand and use my index finger bent and the base of my thumb to pump. This lets you use more of your forearm muscles and you can pump it up better.
It was very awkward during device training and it did hurt at that time.
The pumping does get easier as the pump breaks in and you get your technique down that works best.
At first I could only pump it up to around 13 to 15 times but now I can pump it up to 30 to 40 times getting it to steel spike level. 20 to 25 pumps for me is the best for sex but I’m still learning and listening to my partner what feels the best.

Good Luck,
We’re here to help

Thx for all the replies. I guess I was a bit too anxious, hoping to banging like crazy rather quickly. Looks like it'll take time.

Right now, I need to figure out how to work the pump... AND what the results will feel like. When I pump, I can hardly tell what's going on.... and not sure if I'm just imagining something. Also, not sure if I'm working the deflate valve right....

Will keep in the training mode for a while....
