Title.
Curious if anyone here has gone outside the US/Canada to have their implant surgery done? I'm curious if a place like Thailand or Cuba would be worth looking in to...AFAIK there's a number of trans people who have gone to thailand to get their surgeries done so there must be some surgeons there who are familiar with urological surgery to some degree.
My thought is that it could be considerably cheaper than having it done in the states, and potentially comparable results.
Any input on this would be hugely appreciated, thanks!

The term that pops into my mind is medical tourism. I found one listed for Mexico at 4k that did not include travel or hotel. https://www.placidway.com/search-medica ... ment/All/1 You might see if you can find others

We had a member whose family member (cousin) went to India. Place looked nice on the web. Gets there & WWll era beds & equipment. Female staff wouldn't change his bandages. Social taboo to touch men. Got infected, family intervened & got him flown to England for exstensive treatment. Btw, as I recall the family lived in Australia. So India was kind of close & thats kind of how he ended up in England.
A member here in the USA asked his doctor about getting an implant. Doctor had never done an implant before. Doc said sure thing how complicated can it be?
The real answer is do you hate your penis enough to go to a sub par doctor or country?
Btw, way. We had a member that went to Turkey on the cheap cause he was a training volunteer. I think overall he did decent.
Remember, if your American. Most of the staff won't speak any version of English.

Hi brothers. I feel i need to report on what a cousin of mine recently experienced having an implant done in India recently.
Well he an implant installed at Blue Ribbon Urology centre in Dehli by Dr Ashish Sabharwal for U.S $ 14 000 and this is what happened.
1/ The hotel they suggested that he stay in at an extra cost of U.S $70/night was across from the clinic. It was filthy and didnt even have a dinning room for breakfast (The photo's on the internet showed it to be good )
2/ The clinic was filthy and the equipment, bed ect were of pre 2nd world war quality ( Not whats on their website and youtube adds )
3/ The female Doctors and Nurses for cultural reasons did not want to go anyway near his Dick and just gave him the dressings ect to sort it out himself after surgery ( Dr Sabharwal was not to be seen for two days after )
4/ He was losing a fair amount of blood from the wound buy they would not even look at it and just gave him dressings.
5/ On the third day my cousin was going back to the U.K and had to carry his suitcase from the ward to the taxi outside and only then did Dr Sabharwal arrive to give him a prescription for pain killers and antibiotics.
On arrival back to the U.K he was rushed to hospital with a life threatening infection and was in intensive care for a few weeks and had the implant removed.
This BUTCHER OF A DOCTOR, according to his profile has been studying advanced technics in Robotic surgery in the U.S and supposed to be a leader in mens health ( According to his youtube stuff and his website)
Brothers be very careful when selecting your surgeon and hospital/clinic - youtube and websites can be very misleading

You should look up Professor Ralph out of London, UK.
Cannot think of many urologists in the world, more accomplished.
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

It doesn't make sense that an Australian would travel to India for this surgery when a good portion of the surgery and hospital stay in Australia are paid by health insurance.

Re: Has anyone gone to a country outside the US to get a pump implanted?
It's not the kind of surgery I'd shop around the world. Finding a high volume implanters outside the US is difficult even in developed countries. North America market share of penile implants is 65-70%. Countries like UK, Germany, Italy, France have 2-2.5% each. Low marked share = less high volume surgeons.

There are some things that are just worth paying full price for such as a penile implants using a world class doctor...and maybe parachutes.
