Pump before implant?

Postby Steve5231 » Sat Jan 22, 2022 8:02 am

I’m really considering an implant. I’ve tried the pills and injections over the years and currently nothing is working. My question is this: Is there any advantage in daily pumping before implant?
75 years old. Was on Viagra and then Cialis but got fed up with the side effects. Switched to Tri-Mix 3 years ago but had increasingly reduce effect. Finally implanted 1/19/2023. Always looking for advice. Live in Illinois.

Dr. Hakky says there is benefit from pumping for10-15 minutes twice a day 1-2 months before your surgery. It gets blood flowing where there has probably been none for a long time and helps to start stretching things out. He told me this helps reduce the pain after surgery. I was implanted Thursday.
Age 54, venous leak and some scarring, tried daily/occasional Cialis for awhile then a few months various doses of tri/quad mix. Either helped and would produce 50-60%.erections, but never really full. Implanted 1/20/22 26cm” Titan- Dr. Hakky

Yes, everyone should, and I wish my doctor had told me about it. He told me it wouldn't do me any good; I realized later, it won't do me any bad either.

My doctor at Mayo also suggested it and I think it helped. My implant was much larger than I thought it would be.

I think that is the best attitude. Don't tell me it won't help. Tell me if it'll hurt my chances.

I've never heard that using a VED PRIOR to surgery could hurt anything.
I do know if you have shrinkage, it could take time to get back length if ever.

Steve 5231,
My urologist/surgeon recommended using a VED prior to implant, with one restriction, STOP using the VED one week prior to the surgery.
I did and the doctor said after the surgery that the tissues inside the penis were much more receptive to the implant.
Ask your doctor...
