"Dog ears"
Ok, maybe my question will sound naif but what's the so calleg "Dog ears" effect and how it can be prevented / avoided / reduced? I can see it's often mentioned here without further explanation.
Re: "Dog ears"
It’s when the cylinders are completely deflated and you bend your dick down or up the flat cylinder has a pointed spot from the bend.By adding a little fluid back in it goes away.No big deal for me!

Think about an empty garden hose and how it gets a "kink" in it, where the kink is in the hose thats a folded spot and the edge is sort of sticking out. Our cylinders when collapsing can get like a buckle in them. I have an annoying one on my left cylinder. I'm worried that when my implant fails -that dog ear will be the leak point.

Fourtytwo00...agree with the description of my two previous collogues. The bent hose analogy is my favorite 'go-to' explanation. Now...to your other questions of how they can be prevented / avoided / reduced... IMHO, I achieve the totality of your three questions by never completely deflating myself. When I do deflate for whatever reason, I always immediately pump up at least 5 to 7 pumps. That way, my Titan doesn't bend too much at any one place for any length of time. At almost 75, with over 3 years post-op experience, that's the best response I can give.

Re: "Dog ears"
I’ve found it’s inevitable. I’ve had 3 implants all in which had some sort of dog ears. My current CX doesn’t as much as the Titan did I will say that. On a more helpful note you could inflate a few pumps maybe 3-5 so that there is less of a bend. Also if you’re work from home and have the ability to it’s good just to let your thing hang freely with a few pumps. The dog ears come from the device bending in our clothing.
30 yrs old. Current IPP failed in 2022. Waiting revision. No insurance. I’ve had both Titan & AMS.
Re: "Dog ears"
Do the dog ears hurt or cause pain? At over 4 weeks I still feel like I’m hard all the time even after I make sure I deflate fully and give the one squeeze “pop” to make sure my valve is in deflate. I feel like 5-7 pumps would make it harder. But reducing full ache might be a good thing. I’m keeping it delflate now since I’m healing, other than cycling or use of course.
47 year old swinger. Had 36+ hour priapism that landed me in ER twice over 48 hours. Scarring in my penis makes it to where I’m at risk of severe priapism at any time. Erections inconsistent. Implanted by Dr. Eid on December 21st 2021, Coloplast Titan OTR
