Interview on NPR

Postby Frank Talk Admin » Mon Jan 17, 2022 1:09 pm

I posted this in the general discussion area, but I thought I'd post it here as well. Implant guys tend to be pretty willing to talk!

Guys,
I was approached by Katie Bishop, producer of a podcast, as she was looking to talk to men who are dealing with ED. She is great! If you fit what she is looking for, please send her an email! These talks can be anonymous!
Thanks guys.
Paul

***************************************************************************************************************************************
Hi -- this is Katie Bishop, producer at a podcast called Death, Sex & Money, from WNYC in New York. On our show, we aim to talk openly and honestly about the things we all grapple with in life yet have trouble discussing out loud. That includes our bodies and in our sex lives -- and in a new series, we are talking all about erectile dysfunction and how Viagra changed (and didn't change) sex in America.

I am looking for people who are open to being interviewed about their experiences with ED and taking ED drugs. I am especially hoping to hear from men over 50. As we understand this is a sensitive topic, we are very willing to accommodate privacy/anonymity requests.

We are hoping that by talking about this, it might help to shift some of the stigma and silence around this issue. If you'd like to participate, or learn more about our project, please email me at kbishop@wnyc.org.

Thank you!

I think that since it is ONLY men who have Erectile Dysfunction, "spokesMAN" would be defensible.

Katie Bishop is a producer for Anna Sale's podcast "Sex, Death & Money". I listened to a few of the podcasts and found them pretty good.

Some of them are compilations of several person's personal stories and some are in-depth interviews with just one individual. asked which type is contemplated here. I suspect is is the former. We will see.

With a podcast named as hers is, an in-depth treatment would be edifying.

All,
The wife and I had an hour-long video chat with Anna and Katie.
Anna asked a lot of great questions. Hope she can use some of our info to help other men.

OB,
Many years ago, I completed an apprenticeship. I then became a Journeyman. Fast forward to today...
I'm now referred to as a Journey Worker...weird. So, spokesman is OK in my book.
ROF, LMAO,

Now podcasting: Interview on NPR

Postby Lost Sheep » Wed Mar 30, 2022 4:00 pm

The Death, Sex & Money podcast has started its production today March 30, 2022 and the three episodes will "air" in succession

Title: Hard: Erectile Disappointment

Description:

In the first episode of a three part series, we hear stories about when bodies don't do what we want or expect during sex—and how that impacts our relationships.

Worth hearing.

One worthwhile point is the wife of a man with E.D. expressed that (while her husband was avoiding sex for fear of failure) SHE was reluctant to invite him to have sex (that she dearly wanted) for fear of making him feel badly. So, (the unspoken) lesson is that the division in their marriage over sex was made worse by both of them trying to protect the other.
