Confidently speaking what to tell friends?
What surgery do you tell coworkers, family and friends you’re having because I don’t want them to know I’m having the implant?

Re: Confidently speaking what to tell friends?
Generally I hate lying to people and would just tell them the truth. But this time I did elect to fib a bit.
A hernia repair would be a good cover story. My problem was I had one done two weeks before my implant. I thought it would be too coincidental to have two hernias within two weeks of each other.
I ended up telling folks I’d had some work done on my prostate but that everything was benign. Nobody presses for additional details. I was 63 so having issues was totally believable.

Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

I guess I don't give a shit what people think at my age.
I tell anyone before they ask. Some laugh, but they may find out when it hits them.
By the way, I only know one other guy who has ever had ED.
Some just say they and their wives just aren't interested in sex anymore.

If you’re asking, then obviously a lie is fine. Hernia surgery is what I told all my employees and family. I’m a construction worker and rock climber that’s been moping around for 4-5 weeks. I’m having some minor complications, but I’m back to full speed at work. Just make sure you know some info about the hernia surgery so you don’t look like a dick

Told everyone I had a growth on a testicle that needed removed. Everyone I told that to cringed and asked no more questions. Even females, LOL.

What social circles do you inhabit? Some very conservative societies would look askance at a man who had (or who would admit to having) sexual function problems. Other more liberal societies or social circles would think nothing of it and more than a few women I have known found that a man who admits to having a problem (and this is VERY important-not hiding from it and taking proactive steps to fix it) is admirable.
If the subject of ED came up in conversation (I do not bring it up myself, but if an acquaintance did...) I would start out by sharing some of my knowledge about ED and its solutions, oral meds, injections, suppositiories, VEDs and implants and follow the conversation from there. Male or female. If I trust the person to be discreet I might reveal that I actually have first-hand experience.
Medical professionals are another thing. I reveal freely where it is appropriate or might be appropriate. MRI technicians need to know what model you have, for instance.
TSA agents sometimes detect the implant. Most would not be surprized. Most actually accept your testimony that (as one posster in another thread said) "That is my penis." and let it go at that.
Most people I know simply know that I had surgery on my "undercarriage" and none have pressed me for more details. But I did share the fact of the implant with just a couple of friends. One because he was an older man and one because she had surgery at about the same time (on a completely different body part) and I wanted to comiserate.

Re: Confidently speaking what to tell friends?
Most of my Friends ( all female ) already know that I'm having an implant next month and they are all super excited for me - one has even offered to 'test it out ' which is reassuring!
My close family also know, and one person in my office knows. I don't have any need to tell anyone else so I will probably use the hernia excuse. TBF it wouldn't really bother me if they found out the truth but i think for the time being i will tell a little white lie.

I hope to be implanted soon and have been thinking of what to say also. I think because I had PC and PR a few years back that I will say I have some issues with that, that have to be addressed. I wouldn't really care if some people knew but my wife would rather be discrete.
66yo ED started 05 oral meds worked fine 2012 PR severe ED since A little success w/ BI & Tri mix. Went bionic 2/17/22 infrapubic AMS LGX Dr. Blick

Re: Confidently speaking what to tell friends?
I have been open about the implant with my close male, and one female friend whose husband is struggling with ED. You never know when someone might need ED or implant info or support. My homophobic family isn't an issue since we don't talk or see one another.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

I told people I was having a hernia operation. As far as I know, everyone accepted that story.
