Is atrophy to be expected in the young?

Postby 25yoandthissucks » Fri Dec 24, 2021 9:55 pm

Hi guys,

I'm 26 and have prettttty severe ED, and have been completely unable to get an erection for the last 4 months.

Is it expected that I will lose size due to this before an implant? :( Or is that just for the older gentlemen. I'd really love to know what to expect. Anyone have any experience with this?

After RP, my program was to vac daily and inject trimix every 4 days. Atrophy is from not getting any blood flow over along period. Keep that blood flow going. After implant I use trimix gel inserted into the urethra which create blood flow in my glans in case you wont do injections.

I don't believe ED and penile atrophy are age dependent. Do you have morning wood, experiencing nocturnal erections? They will go a long way in helping keep your penis healthy. If they are occurring, you have a bit less to worry about regarding atrophy. A dick that doesn't get hard, and receive that blood flow, will over time shrink. I suggest you see a qualified urologist specializing in men's sexual health as soon as possible.

Different perspective here. Why risk it? Get yourself to a COMPETENT urologist that is capable to treat ED using all commonly accepted treatments.

i do but only in the lower penile tissue. In the past 4 months i've stopped getting blood into the upper tissue completely.

I suggest you see a qualified urologist specializing in men's sexual health as soon as possible.

Seeing Dr. Eid at the moment. Have yet to do any tests with him though.

There was a really long pd of time I've had ed (probably like 8 yrs) where at the end of that period i used an injection and got around full length. But in the last 4 months my gosh the ed has been so bad, hasn't been responding to medication very well at all. I guess I'm just worried the last 4 months plus the months leading into my surgery (if I decide to go that route... which I most likely will) will cause any atrophy at all..

I think you should get a VED.
This could help preventing size loss
26yo from Italy. Psychogenic ed since dec 2019, got worse in Jan 2021. On Cialis 5mg every 24hrs, it works! But masturbation and sex bring me a lot of anxiety. On talk-therapy.
Update: diagnosed with slight Peyronie’s, investigating more on that

Penis health is dependent on nocturnal erections. This happens multiple times a day but mostly at night. This starts in males before we are born and continue for our healthy lives. I would suggest you go to the general section of this forum under the documents worth reading thread. Look for two articles on VED use. One for post RP surgery (penis exercise) and one for maintaining (restoring) size loss before surgery. It is more than just blood flow but that is part of it. The other part is to stretch the tissue. Without the daily stretching atrophy will happen and loss of size will occur. Be careful with VED use. You can overdo it and cause damage by going to fast or to high vacuum. The hand pump brake bleeder type VEDs are easy to do this with as they are very powerful. I recommend getting one with a gauge. Read both of those articles and again go slow and be careful. And get one as soon as you can and begin as soon as you can.
