Cock Ring Post-Implant (Needed?)

Hi all,

I’m currently as close as I’ve ever been to calling it a day and scheduling an implant.

One topic that I’ve seen come up quite a lot in my extensive research is that of the utilisation of cock rings after a penile implant has been inserted.

I understand the rationale - that being to retain as much blood as possible, to fill the glans and replicate as close to the look and feel of a natural erection as possible. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

However, I just really want to know how prevalent this is - that is to say, how many men actually do this and how many men feel the need or indeed have the need to do this?

For me, the point of the implant is ultimately to provide a penis hard enough to penetrate. But from the many testimonials and accounts that I’ve read, very few will use a cock ring post implant.

Indeed, there are countless reports of high satisfaction - ‘looks and feels pretty much the same’, ‘my glans engorges’, ‘it feels like a part of me’ etc etc etc…

I realise that men get to this stage through a wide range of pathways; prostate ca., priapism, venous leak etc and it is such a nuanced operation which has many possible outcomes in terms of quality of erection.

But I just don’t want to be having to add things like cock rings into the mix after an implant because personally, I just want things to be as close to normality as possible.

I pump up with my VED and use rings all the time.It works both ways,it’s an individual thing and what you like and your partner likes.I do it for all the reasons you stated and for me it makes my dick a lot longer and rounder and thicker!My wife loves it!I never use the rings longer than thirty minutes.

I don't use a cock ring now.

And I would be hesitant to try now that I have an implant. I recall what it used to take to stuff my dick and balls through the cock ring. I would be concerned about damaging my implant doing that now.

After my implant surgery. I threw away my cock ring and Levitra. Good riddance.

There are other cock rings that just go over the shaft of your cock,not your balls,can’t imagine using one of those!

The nice thing about using a cock ring with the implant is that you can put the cock ring on pretty easily while deflated, then pump up the implant with the cock ring already on. Makes it a lot easier to get the ring on and off.
