Got my implant early November - have some size questions

Postby 2435tjklAS » Wed Dec 01, 2021 10:49 pm

Hi,
I'd imagine with us being dudes the effect of an implant on penis size is probably discussed pretty often here. Hoping someone can link me to thread or other links about this topic.

I got the AMS 700 LGX. What's the common knowledge on how the size of my penis might increase or decrease because of this?

Welcome to the forum, 2435tjklAS.

You are correct that size has been discussed extensively. Just go back a few pages and click on titles that look promising. That is what I did when I first found FrankTalk. Sorry, I don't have links. Serendipitous discovery is, in my opiniion, a much better way to find what you seek and also a lot of information you have no idea to ask about. That is the nature of serendipity.

As far as your ultimate size is concerned, how soon you reach your pre-implant size depends a lot on your surgeon's technique. But if he sized you appropriately you will regain your original size (at least your size immediatelyl pre-implant for sure and maybe your pre- E.D. size) fairly quicklly. Days or months, depending. Also, once you are cleared for cycling your implant, how well you follow directions will have an effect on swiftness of your size recovery.

My experience is that I followed a protocol of Vacuum Erection Devce (VED) therapy designed to maintain my natural size and I started it before I lost any size. Immediately post-op, I was the same size as immediately before surgery and very happy.

Hey, could you clarify about this?

"Vacuum Erection Devce (VED) therapy designed to maintain my natural size"

Since my implant I haven't touched a single thing down there. I'm doing this under the assumption that it's the best choice overall because I get shorter recovery time and no pain or damages. However, what you're saying makes me feel like I might not regain my natural size if I'm not putting in effort towards it?

Goal, maintain the size I had before implant. Should I do nothing, or a lot?

First do not do anything until you talk to your doctor first. Second you need to educate yourself. The search feature is your friend on this board and use it and read as much as you can. Third VED therapy is the search you can start with. There are 2 kinds. Pre and post op. Pre op is what LS is referring to. There is post op therapy but that is done by a very few doctors. And as I said while under your doctor's care to follow the instructions given. You can't do preop therapy, so all is left is post op and that is something you should completely research and talk to your doctor about.

For your original question the AMS LGX is able to stretch more in length than either the Titan or the CX. You can find the information on AMS (Boston Scientific) web site.

Newbie443 has it right. PRE-op VED therapy has been demonstrated to maintain (or restore some of RECENTLY lost size) written up in peer-reviewed medical journals. Post-op VED use (much less therapy) is still controversial, though some surgeons are now recommending the procedure. But a LOT depends on the particular conditions with each individual patient. So I believe the ONLY blanket statement about post-op VED use is, "Consult your surgeon. before doing anything."
