Keeping it up
Do you need to keep using an athletic supporter a week after surgery or do you just use your underwear. The supporter is very annoying but I don’t think underwear alone will keep it standing up.

Sorry but you are right!
Jock strap hurts and underwear does not hold it up.
The jock strap waist band was too low on me.

Padding.
I used surgical gauze for quite a while. I was dedicated to pointing up all throughout the healing process.
Of course, I (even before implant and before E.D.) customarily wore my penis pointed up.
Making one's own (or having a spouse or friend sew) supportive underwear custom-fit and out of less abrasive cloth is also an option.

I was 70% inflated for 2 weeks following surgery. I wore a McDavid jock 24 hours a day that whole time. The pouch was long and deep enough as well as stretchy enough that the waist band was no problem.

I bought Fruit of the Loom jockeys a size smaller than normal. Held me "up and in" at about 1 o'clock. Did this after 3 implants....good luck man!

My doc just said don't worry about it. Leave it alone, BUT he had me pumped 80-90 % and it stuck straight out. Laid around on my couch with dick sticking straight up. LOL

I guess I'm just rough on them....seriously,
First lasted one year, poorly installed by lying asshole doctor
Second lasted 3 years - tube coiled and pulled loose
Third lasted 3 years - pump broke
Fourth - working great, having LOTS of fun!
