HELP! Is this normal?

Postby Comebackkid » Wed Nov 10, 2021 2:19 am

I am exactly 2 weeks out and for the most part pain free with no significant swelling. My concern is that at night it is difficult getting comfortable, as the pump sits toward the rear of my scrotum which positions it higher than the center bottom and the boys are still fighting for room, I guess. Well now it feels like there is pressure at what I believe is the top of the valve, as if it has moved upward.
I have no idea if it has in fact moved upward, and have been gently trying to pull it down as this was a slightly less concern a week ago.
I emailed my surgeon tonight about this matter (1:30 am) and will call first thing in the morning to try to come in.
Hopefully it’s nothing, but I am concerned that if it has shifted upwards, at 2 weeks, it may be difficult to pull back down.
Has anyone experienced anything similar. Hopefully it is nothing. And hopefully they can get me in there ASAP, which is why I chose a local experienced surgeon

It is hard to say, as there is no (ideal spot) to locate the pump within the scrotum. As I can see here, no 2 people have their pumps in the same place, or have the same orientation. I believe it is directly related to the tubes length. Also the (kids) place and size vary from one another. Many of us were requested by their doctors to gently pull down the pump during the first 2 or 3 weeks. I did that the first 2 weeks post surgery. It didn't really get the pump lower, but at least it stayed where it is now. I have no problem accessing the release button. Let us see the response of your doctor.

Ask your doctor if it is ok to sit in a warm tub. If so get in and relax and pull gently on your pump. Really helped me when my was riding high.

Thx guys. I was advised that this occurs with about 1/3 of their patients and that I should gently pull it downward for 30 seconds, twice a day as needed. I have already felt the improvement. I was panicking this morning when it became really uncomfortable and I realized it had shifted well upward. I can’t express enough gratitude to the responses and shared experience provided on this site. If it were not for this site and reading a lot of journals prior to my implant, I am not even certain I would have known it was possible for it to
Shift upward.

'Keep pulling the pump down' was my advice from Dr Perito after all three of my revisions. First (lying asshole) doctor never mentioned it and it "settled" in a place where I could not reach both buttons to deflate it. 2 months with a "bent semi" (but I could still fuck!!!).

A "side sleeper", I have used a "knee pillow" for years. In addition to alleviating hip pain, it gives a little more room for the balls. This may or may not help you.

"keep pulling the pump down"

and .... good luck!

Catman, you crack me up, lol. It’s funny because I am a side sleeper too and have been using a pillow to make room. I was hoping that if the pump dropped a little more it would make room for me to sleep on my side. Perhaps not. But if I have to sacrifice sleeping on my side to have a hard dick and fuck where and whenever, I will be a sleeping on my back, snoring on my back mf.

Did you have to get a revision because it settled too high?

I can say from my experience, I had to equip myself with a lot of knowledge from this site in order to have the right questions for the surgeon and his staff, otherwise they would have only given me the basic information and and be sent home and told to return in 6 weeks. When I ask detailed questions, I get detailed answers, but otherwise I’m just another patient. So anyone who is reading this, do not expect these surgeons or their nurse to hold your hand and prepare you for every circumstance, read as much as you can and equip yourself with as many questions prior so you have have realistic expectations

I have the same problem. It’s week 5 and by then end of work my left testicle gets inflamed and swells. Pretty painful with a 2 hour drive home at night (I work nights). I couldn’t even touch the pump for three weeks because of the swelling. I’m tugging 2x a day for 30 seconds as recommended above. My transverse incision hasn’t healed yet either. Icing and Tylenol with ibuprofen aren’t helping lately. Hoping each day gets better. Any other slow healers here?
Thanks

My healing took close to 5 months! Yes every day was better but between feeling like my shaft was on fire, the soreness/swelling and not being able to deflate easily I kept asking myself "Why did I do this?"
By 6 months I was much better. Now at 2 years out love that I can satisfy the wife as needed. Hang in there.

Gives rise to another question not worthy of an entirely new topic. With the pump in the scrotum are there problems encountered with BLS? ( ball licking & sucking). Wife likes to do that but wondering if bls would trigger deflation?
