tubing being noticeable

Postby ShouldIwait » Thu Nov 04, 2021 7:39 pm

Hear about tubing being noticeable ... better to go infrapubic or testicular route? Can anyone show pics where tubing is visible? Is this common?

Tentative scheduled IPP for Early 2022.
Thinking Titian, Doc prefers infrapubic when not to much of a fat pad.

I don't think noticeable tubing is related to whether the surgery is performed using infrapubic or penoscrotal concept. The doctor has to apply correct measurements and size the tubes as per the individual's anatomy. IMO, Tubing length also determines how precise the pump is located. Longer tubing may result in a lower pump and possibly visible tubes. Shorter tubing will cause the pump to be high and sometimes difficult to access the release button.

The tubing does come out of my penis at about 10 and 2. Probably comes out at 4 and 8 o'clock wit scrotal approach. I could feel the tubes up on top with the pubic approach. Bothered me for a few months. Dont think about them now.

Best to go with the approach the surgeon is most familiar with. Based on your post (original poster), your surgeon seems comfortable with either.

As I understand it, Coloplast devices' tubing is not pre-connected and the surgeon cuts the tubing to the proper length and crimps connectors in place during surgery. In that way, positioning the exit points from the corporatomy and where the pump will hand can be fitted to best advantage. AMS devices are (or were a few years ago) pre-connted at the factory, so gave the surgeon a little less leeway in custom-fitting.

L.S. AMS has both preconnected and non-preconnected tubes. Not sure about Titan's.

In a flaccid state I can feel my tube on the right side, close to the base of my shaft. It is not noticeable when inflated.

Can not agree with that statement. I have 5 cm of RTE. it is required because my cruse is 3 inch deep. The RTE's are used to move the inlet tubes to the cylinders out of the cruse and up to near the base of the pubic bone. In reverse, if I had a 1/2 inch deep cruse, I would not need any RTE's.

what? that doesn't make any sense. if that were the case then most people with 6cm crus could not have *any* implant without RTEs. no RTEs should be avoid at all possible. ViaSwiss is right because without RTEs the tubing connections will be deeper in the crus and thus less noticable.
