Ah f*ck...8 days in, lump @ base of new implant causing extreme bend. Is this serious? Help!! [warning, pics included]

CONTEXT (read first):
First things first, yes I am asking my doctor, but I have to wait till tomorrow -- I lost my phone on the way home from the airport last week (I'm a genius) so I'm waiting for their office to get back to me to resend me his contact number.
My Titan Coloplast 20+1 was implanted by one of the top US implant surgeons 8 days ago.
The doctor left me (I estimate) 30-40% inflated. A day or two later, he offered to deflate me before I flew home, but I didn't end up taking him up on that. That turned out to be a huge mistake.
Since that day, swelling in my ballsack has meant it's far too difficult and/or painful to deflate properly or b) easily find within the swollen scrotum. I kind of wish he had warned me of this, and recommend to EVERYONE to deflate before you go home if it's offered to you.
So, it's worth noting that I've been (I think) ~40% inflated for 8 days straight now.
THE PROBLEM
In the last 2-3 days, a "fold" in the implant tubing has progressed to the point you see in the pictures from today. I've read that the Titan can have "accordion-like" folds, and that feels like what this is, although it's only one fold rather than multiple. 8
The bend is being caused by the feels like one side of the tubing protruding/folding and pinching on the right side of my shaft, which you can clearly see in my image -- this is causing the entire shaft to go straight from the point of the bend, causing a jarring and pronounced leftward angle slightly upwards from the base of the penis. It is noticeably sore where that "pinch" is happening.
I want nothing more than to try and cycle the implant to (literally) try to straighten this out, but again, just 8 days out from the procedure my ballsack is swollen and sore that even pressing slightly on the pump is agonizing.
My questions, with the full disclaimer of understanding that you're not medical professionals and that yes, I WILL only take my doctor's advice when I hear back from him:
- Has anyone else experienced this?
- Does anyone know if this is serious (i.e., capable of affecting the final result?)
- Am I at greater risk of scar tissue forming?
- (And, potentially, if so) Should I get piss drunk (civil war style) to dull the pain and try to cycle my implant to fix this? (Doc said day 7-10 is good window for first cycling; it's day 8 for me)
I'm doing my best not to freak out but this past 8 days has easily been the hardest of my life, and I want to know if this is a serious medical complication or a possible deviation within the normal healing process.
Anyway, pic:
Note: My glans looks gnarly, but it's "just" bruising from the surgery.
