AMS Implants - Differences B/T CX and LGX

I am scheduled for implant surgery in early November. I like the 3 piece AMS device. What are the pros and cons between the AMS 700 CX and the AMS 700 LGX? Which is best for making the glans of the penis as firm as possible? Is either better for anal intercourse? Thanks.

The AMS Rep told me the CX is stiffer when inflated than the LGX. Not by much, but if you are interested in getting into tight spaces, there is that consideration.

The CX has limited length/girth expansion, but fits better into narrower dicks or with smaller Corpus Cavernosum. I couldn't accommodate anything but the CX because my Peyronie's plaque and curve restricted those chambers. The LGX has more potential for length and especially girth expansion. Either will do a good job for anal. I don't think they have much impact on the glans since it has a separate blood supply from that which supplies the penis for an erection.

LGX will expand with cycling after implant. This gives the doc the flexibility to size aggressively. LGX gets as hard as a broom stick with max pumping. Hang a bath towel on mine.

My understanding of the differences is that the LGX is the most pliable of the available implants and will expand more in length percentage wise. But by being more pliable it is only available up to 21cm and some doctors do not even like the 21cm and will use a stiffer CX or Titan instead. This is more comfortable and a bit more concealable. This is also good for men looking to try to restore lost size caused by ED. This is not good if the man has damage and needs straightening. A stiffer CX or Titan is used for this.

The CX does expands in girth and is stiffer than the LGX but not as stiff as the Titan. As above it is used in larger sizes and for men who require straightening. Also it may have a girth advantage over the LGX but I have found no published studies on this.

The CXR is a narrow cylinder model of the CX as stated by AMS above for men who need narrow cylinders.

This is a talk you need to have with your doctor. I think if you are going to trust the doctor for this surgery you should trust the doctor to choose the best device for you. My local doctors would not choose and left it completely up to me. Seems they had no idea what device was best for me or did not care. I told my surgeon I wanted either a Titan or a LGX and he choose the LGX almost before I finished talking. If you are using a doctor that only does one brand of device and you have the time and resources a visit to a very good doctor that does both brands to confirm the correct choice.

As far as firming the Glans, I do not see how any device can do this. As the only way for that to happen is with blood flow. In looking at the pictures on Coloplast and AMS's web site the tips that go in the Glans of the Titan appear to be shorter and larger than the 700. But I have seen no publication about this.

As far as anal sex I think that any of the devices would be more than adequate but the CX is stiffer than the LGX and the Titan is stiffer than the CX. I can say that my LGX with max inflation is stiffer than any natural erection I had.

Each of the devices have advantages and disadvantages compared to the others.
