Pinched an inch

Hi men. Whenever I read about the correct way of measuring the penis the technique recommended seems to be up against the pelvic bone at the top of the penis (when it’s sticking straight out) to the tip. If I do this I come out with 5.5 inches (not porn star standard but a respectable average). However, if I measure from the underside to the tip I run into the tubing etc and it’s a disappointing 4 inches (which presumably is all the lady will get in doggy, cowgirl etc). Anyone else feel someone “pinched an inch” when they installed all this extra equipment?

You forgot to measure it Craigslist style: Start at the anus, loop the tape measure around the balls, and measure to just past the tip.

In all seriousness, the measurement along the top of the dick from the pubic bone is how averages are calculated. My guess is that most guys who are average when measured that way are shorter along the underside.
