Finally Bionic - Life2.0

Postby ImproveD » Tue Aug 31, 2021 12:20 pm

Dear All,

Finally planned for surgery tomorrow. In hospital now and doctor has decided to go for a AMS LGX, 21CM most probably (final size obviously will be decided later)

I can't thank this forum enough. Had it not been for this website I don't think I ever had the courage to take this step.

After struggling with Venous Leak all my life, hopefully not sustaining an erection will be a thing of the past and will finally have a sex life like any other human.
32, Venogenic ED all my life. Tried Viagra, Cialis and Cock Rings with minimum to no effect.
Implanted 09/01/2021 AMS LGX 18cm with 1cm RTE.
Regained the original length back. Currently at 6inch usable penis (2 years after implant)

Have been waiting to write this post since the day I joined FT, so here I go.

Finally I'm BIONIC.

Got implanted with a AMS LGX 18+ 1cm RTE.
As I opted for a spinal anaesthesia, was awake the whole time
Came out of the OT 3 hours back and there is no pain as such neither during surgery nor post op.
Catheter will be removed tomorrow and will get discharged day after.

As per the surgeon, it went really well specially girth is something he said was perfect.
My pre op size was 5.5" and was able to achieve a bone pressed length of 5-5" to 5.75".

As per doc, will be back with this length in next couple of months.

Once again, it wouldn't have been possible without FT. So thankyou to FT and all its members for the support and confidence that you gave.

Hoping for the best.

Congratulations ImproveD! Your life will change!

My doctor offered me to do spinal or general, I think I’ll go with general, I’m afraid of being awake during the surgery and start freaking out. Can you tell me more about your experience of being awake?

Who was your doctor if I may ask?

I wish you a great recovery!

It's a personal choice, I wanted to be aware of everything going around me in terms of the steps been taken and which size they are using and any complications that might lead to infection or any xyz issues, that's why I chose spinal.

It's a personal choice like I said.

As far as experience is concerned, I did just well. No pain no anxiety at all.

I work in healthcare and am very familiar with anesthesia.

Choosing to have spinal does not necessarily mean you will be “awake”. It’s common practice to give sedation medication in tandem with spinal anesthesia. It could be a very light sedation, it could be such a heavy sedation that you might be snoozing through the entire procedure or be groggy and awake, but later have no recollection of being awake at all.

You will have an anesthesia provider with you the entire time (at least in the US. I can’t address how anesthesia is given outside the US). That anesthesia provider will adjust the level of sedation during the procedure. It’s not a single dose with no adjustment along the away.

The best advice is to go with the flow and do whatever the surgeon prefers. The surgeon is the person it is MOST IMPORTANT is comfortable and having an easy time. Your comfort is certainly important as well, but I’m sure you can see how you want your surgeon to be really happy and free of distractions or stress during your procedure.

If your surgeon says he/she truly has no preference, ask the anesthesia provider what they think is best and trust your gut. They are the experts. Your role is to pick the best surgeon you can, but then it’s best to put your faith in them and let them do their thing.

Being anxious about a surgery is really common and makes perfect sense. The entire staff will have helped anxious patients through this process countless times. You’ll be well cared for.

You're absolutely correct, this is exactly how it happened. Anesthesiologist was along the entire surgery and he did gave sedation which made me a little dizzy and I did lose track of time and everything but still it was better than general where you directly find yourself on the other side.
But like I said, it's a personal preference.

In fact the surgeon also left it on me to choose how I would prefer.
