First week, pulling on pump

I’m at day 6 post surgery and see the doc tomorrow. I’m having a bit of trouble pulling down on the pump. I’m afraid to mess anything up. I push down on the top of the pump daily to make sure it doesn’t migrate upwards in my sac. It hasn’t moved since the surgery date. Does anyone have any words of advice here? I’ve tried to move it around so it doesn’t get stuck to one side, I just don’t wanna inflate anything yet.

Sent a pic to my doc of my incision sight. It’s purple but no smell, no puss, no headaches or chills. Doc ordered more anti biotics just to be on the safe side. Again, I’m reading about warning signs and don’t have most of them, although wound is not perfectly beautiful yet. If anyone has any experience there, let er rip too.

I had to do the same thing. It was too painful to pull so I slowly pushed down whenever I used restroom or got up from seated position. Was a slow but firm push. Soon gravity and my pushing down towards my feet positioned the pump perfectly.

It's best to do it 35 minutes after pain meds

My doc said to try to pull it down to my knees, you will not "hurt" or damage anything. It may be very painful, but you only need to pull down for 5-10 seconds. Do it each time you go to the bathroom. Lay down on your back or sit on the edge of a chair if it helps.
