No regrets and I got an infection had the implant removed and I'm going to see the Dr. on weds to setup a third surgery to have it put back in place.

The infection ratio is low and I just happen to be one of those guys but it hasn't faltered me one bit.

I'm 68 now and wish I had done this in my 50's. My GF is 54 and she doesn't know I have an implant but knows I have much more energy and stay hard longer.

Is there anyone who has gotten an implant and after the fact regretted it? Maybe thinking, "What if I wasn't 'bad' enough before to go through with this? Did I really need to do something so extreme?"

I'm not talking about surgery complications/infections/etc. -- let's say your implant works fine and the surgery went well. I'm talking about any psychological regrets or struggles to accept that this is the "new you".

Or, is having an on-demand, Dick That Doesn't Quit so amazing that it drowns out these thoughts?

My only regret is, I didn't get an implant when I was 30. I feel like, I missed the best years of being a complete man. I am 57 now, I love my new penis, it is thicker than pre-op, it doesn't look fake and it gets rock hard for as long as I want. I am single, having the time of my life. I am a new man, confident, no more depression and anti anxiety medication. I have never been this happier before.

im 30 next year and this makes me feel at ease. i think with enough rehab i will have more strength to walk and possibly even run, and the implant will be the final piece i put back to complete me.

I was scared as hell but after healing and being able to get a erection out weighs the lack of erection I used to have. So I would say the only vain regret is some loss of girth.

As someone who just started with injections and has thought about getting an implant, it's been quite interesting reading these responses. Really appreciate them. I could be wrong but I don't think the loss of spontaneity is an issue. Out of all the different ED solutions, I would think implants offer the best spontaneous erections. My concern has always been how do erections feel post implant as compared to before. I've read various comments on this but I still don't get a really good picture. Some say it feels the same as before the implant. Then others say nothing compares to a "blood filled dick". Then I read about floppy glans, loss of sensation, it's harder to cum, etc. And therefore that makes me somewhat reluctant to go with an implant.

I am the "Nothing beats a blood filled dick" guy. I had sex over 20,000 times till prostate cancer killed my erections. The doc told me all my nerves were removed. Trimix gave a good blood filled erection but I was allergic to it. Extreme pain. It was only 9 months from good healthy erections till my implant. I remember good healthy sex and an implant doesn't do it, but it is better than nothing. Try everything else first, is my suggestion.

Of course nothing is compared to a blood-filled dick, but no one with an implant had it years before the surgery. ED, PE, and Peyronie's are reasons why we opt for an implant.
Other complaints can be temporary after surgery, such as loss of sensation and difficulty to orgasm.
The key of success, is having your implant procedure done properly by a good surgeon (like any other surgery). Thus, you avoid any risks of undersizing, which results in floppy heads, and other complications.
In many ways being bionic is superior to normal one. You can go limp due to not being physically or mentally ready, but with the implant, this won't happen. With normal dick, you can lose erection while changing positions. Here, Sex and partner satisfaction Guaranteed :D

Ah, so you are the "Nothing beats a blood filled dick" guy. I'll have to remember that. lol Thanks for clearing this up a bit further and also thanks for your suggestion. And kudos to you for keeping track and having sex over 20,0000 times. That's having sex everyday for 55+ years! Nice. :)

I have to admit, the thought of not having the potential danger of going limp is attractive. Plus the logistics of dating with injections (as I have been doing) is a bit of a challenge. But I think I will keep my "blood filled dick" for now. :) Thanks for the response.

Short answer: I have not once regretted my decision to implant. Not even for a second.

As far as “a blood filled dick” being better....that’s tough for me to say. I have no way of knowing. Was I born this way? Did I injure something falling out of a tree or trying to ride a bike off a shed roof or attempting junior bull riding? Beats the hell out of me. All I know is when I hit puberty, I got plenty of erections. They’d last all of a minute or two. I had no idea that was abnormal.

Lol when I first started getting sexually active, it seldom took more than a minute or two. It wasn’t until after I got married that I ran into reality and discovered that a 3 minute egg might be okay, but a 1 minute boner wasn’t.

So yeah, I’m biased. This “alien device” to me represents the pinnacle of Medical achievement. It gets hard, it stays hard, I can use my pelvic floor muscles to make it twitch, it feels like it’s throbbing right as I get ready to shoot. So maybe it’s a lack of a proper frame of reference when I declare my implant to be absolutely terrific.

If you are on this site, chances are good that “a blood filled dick” is becoming more difficult to acquire. If pills or shots are working, I doubt that any sane person would say “go have surgery” for the sake of convenience. But if shots or pills are giving you sporadic or less than satisfactory outcomes, the implant is not a thing to be scared of.
Robust, adolescent 65 year old. Venous leakage forever. Used shots, shots+pills 30+ years. Married to same wife ~35 yrs. Implanted 31Dec2019 in Austin Tx. AMS 700 LGX 18 cm with 5 cm RTE.
