The needle stick is not bad at all.

It’s great you have been seeing someone. Have you told that person you don’t feel like it isn’t helping? What did they say?

Depression is an illness that says you aren’t getting better, that you CAN’T get better, even if you ARE in fact, getting better.

If you truly believe that professional isn’t helping, search for another you believe can help.

Keep at it.

Not only is the needle stick not bad at all, injections (when they work on a new patient, which is almost always) provide what will be the biggestest, hardest erections imaginable for a 2 to 4 hour period.

And leave you with a full, low hanging big flaccid for next 12-24 hours.

I did shots for over 30 years. When I was diagnosed in mid-80s, thats all they had. They gave you a big dose during the diagnostic tests then looked at blood flow using dye and such. The erection I got had me ready to buy the chemicals and manufacture it myself had they not given me a prescription.

I’m glad you’re seeing a counselor of some type. I will echo the advice that if you aren’t getting what you need, look for additional support. ED is a pain in the ass, but it can be overcome.

Iirc from your earlier post you’ve tried one medication. There are others. Just because one pde5 inhibitor doesn’t work it doesn’t mean the others won’t.

Injections are grossly misunderstood until a guy tries them. If my ED and age hadn’t rendered them less useful I’d still be using them. They’ve got to be respected-some guys are sensitive to the medication and get some scarring. Others, like me, use them without a hitch for 35 years.

Then there are implants, the current industry state of the art being the 3 piece inflatable. Soft, I now have a big yet still floppy flaccid. At the gym it just looks like I’m concealing a big dick in my shorts. That doesn’t hurt my feelings. Hard, it’s pretty much the same size as always, gets hard as a rock, feels totally normal, and works as long as I want it to.

The infection rate is low, the success and satisfaction rates are high, so you need to come to grips with the fact that the medical arts can and will fix your erection and sexual issues. There’s just a timing thing to figure out which avenue is best for you.

If you pray I suggest you ask for patience. If you’re like me, it will be “God, give me patience and damn it I want it right now.”

PS. You are going to have to become your own medical advocate and take a big part in your care. Plan on doing plenty of research online, you’ve found a good site to start. Not every doctor knows as much about ED as you’d expect, so you have to bear the responsibility to ask the right questions and say “stop” when things don’t make sense. Like I said ED is a pain in ass, but the victory is well worth it. It’s fun to be 65 and have a better dick than any 21 year old.

I'm 1 month post-op and I definitely get the engorged feeling, especially if Ive taken Cialis/Viagra to help with blood flow. It is for sure a weird feeling if you inflate when you're 100% not aroused, as then you just have an erect flacid penis and just feels odd. But when aroused and masturbating or getting oral it gets full and nice just like always.

ive made an appointment with a penile implant specialist in brisbane, Dr Greg Malone. ive read a lot on these forums about the questions i should be asking. is the 4 to 6 weeks healing time realistic? are there any other important questions i should be asking since im so young still.

i think that the sooner i do the implant the better the outcome would be as i wont lose size due to atrophy but i keep getting told to wait and maybe the spinal cord will heal itself, but after looking into it i feel like thats just being blindly optimistic

also thankyou all for replying. i have started seeing a new therapist and have started on a new antidepressant which i think is working.

Although some people recover earlier, most of men are ready to use the new tool (gently) at 6 weeks. Everyone heals differently.
On your appointment, you can ask the doctor about whether he will be using AMS or Titan, and why. Also if he is going for Penoscrotal or Infrapubic.
Despite the fact that you should not lose any length after the surgery, you may also need to see what is your doctor's attitude. Experienced doctors will tell you confidently that you are going to get the length that you came with to the operation room.
