At first, I was intrigued by the potential of this new technology. Being able to program the timing and speed of your erection and deflation seems like a great concept. If the pump were able to assist in deflation as well, it would make the whole process much easier. However, with a bit more pondering, it occurs to me the lawyers will make this a much less desirable approach. Consider a fellow who has sex for several hours and dies from a heart attack. (Which is how I prefer to go out). Then comes the lawsuit which says the implant or implant app manufacturer or doctor should have known the danger and limited the erection to 30 minutes. Erection firmness might be limited to prevent liability of erosion. Your physician might need override capability or must concur with your getting an erection. Then, your wife will want the same app override on her phone. So many ways this can go wrong.

Sometimes the simplest way to do things is the best. Today's technology lets you inflate and deflate, and choose your hardness. It is a simple hydraulic pump and cylinders. The aspects of something electronic are interesting, but many more failure points to worry about.
