Pre- implant, Losing size with ED

I'm scheduled for surgery in August.
The doctor has instructed me to pump daily before surgery to minimize losses. I am confused about something: When I pump, my dick is my old size. When I wake up with fairly weak morning wood, my dick is an inch shorter. I suppose its because of a continual lack of good flow. Did anyone else experience this pre-surgery and how did you come out on the other end?

I've experienced strong ED for a decade now, truly severe the last 3. I'm glad the tech exists to help, but obviously still quite nervous.

When I met the urologist who advised me to go for an implant, he prescribed Cialis 5mg and informed me to use Restorex till I get the implant, which was suggested to be after about 6 months.
ED will cause the shortening. VED or Restorex will at least keep your present size, although 1 or 1 1/2 months of use can hardly make a change.

The pump is going to cause some edema and you won't hit natural erections at the same length as you are in the cylinder.
Also, i would add traction with a restorex or a penimaster pro.

I see. The pump was recommended by an Atlanta based urologist with an accompanying cited medical paper talking about how pumping could mitigate serious length loss.

5 years ago, my penis was over 7 inches in length. When I pump now, I can stretch it to 7 within a few minutes. I have not had a good natural erection since my last priaprism incident. My weak and falling erection this AM (probably 70%) was barely 5.5 inches. It gets to about 6.75 when I take a peptide to induce an erection. I can't inject anymore due to priaprism. I have no idea if the doctor would let me pump a few minutes before measuring for the device, but I will ask. His patients are happy with his work it seems. I just want to do whatever I can to avoid more disaster.

My tri-mix size was 6 inch. My ved size was 6 inch. My hard 700lgx size is 6 inch. Proper sizing should get all your previous length back. But, You don't have natural blood flow so you may loose girth.

I think that if you trust a doctor enough to do this surgery then you should trust and follow the instructions he/she gives you.

Yes there is a paper on VED use prior to surgery and it is in the general section of this forum under documents worth reading. One well know Florida doctor recently was list on a paper about VED use post op and has said that the only thing that stops size loss from ED is the Implant. So his take was not to wait to spend more time using VED therapy. I used VED therapy prior to surgery. I also used some stretching with just using my hand to pull out, down, up, and to each side. Just a gentle stretch. I did that when I did not have time to get out and use my VED and clean it afterwards.

The study shows that VED therapy does help the doctor to be able to implant a slightly longer device. No way to tell how much but from the information I have as long as you are careful and do not inflate to fast or to high vacuum it cannot hurt. Just be careful and go slow and if you have a VED with a gauge watch to make sure you keep the vacuum around 5.
