Any new model coming?

Postby Tortão » Tue Jun 29, 2021 3:57 pm

Do you know if Boston Scientific or Coloplast or another company is developing a new implant model?

I'm just wondering if BS plans on selling an implant with a smaller pump than the current AMS models, or if Coloplast has plans on making a new model with less stiff cylinders, etc...

I just had a revision. AMS pump failure after 9 years. Dr said that AMS was coming out with a new pump next year. I searched but couldn't find anything on it. I am liking the lgx better than the cx.

They are working on an electrically powered rechargeable smart-phone controlled penile implant.

No timeline for FDA approval or release for actual implanting.

Animal trials of a one-piece implant that gets erect when exposed to a magnetic field (which heats the implant mildly to induce the memory-metal of which it is made to change shape) have been successful.

All reported in FrankTalk within the past few years. Here is one thread of the many.

Rigicon has a 3 piece inflatable implant called the Infla10 X that has been used in some countries in the world but not approved in the US yet. I'm sure they're working towards approval soon. There's at least 1 guy on this forum who has it, think he got it installed in Turkey

Great, I hope it gets smaller than the actual model. I plan on switching to AMS in my first revision.

Man, this implant would be incredible. No (or almost no) worries about hiding it from new partners; fewer things inside the body...

A guy on peyronieforum recently had the rigicon. Unfortunately, he got problems with his implant.

The information on the electric unit is it will be the size of a deck of cards and have the battery, pump, and controller, You will still have a reservoir and the cylinders. But no pump in the scrotum. And the electric pump, battery, and controller unit will be inside you near the belt line. A charger for it will be held on with a belt of some sort.

The part of this that is worth mentioning is that it can be locked out or activated by the doctor so no early activation by the man. And no trouble with a doctor that activates early due to scrotal pain making it difficult to cycle. There were other options listed.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

What’s the life span? Something with that much technology is honesty scary. It’s just more shit to break.

Think about everything else in the world that has been “improved” by putting a ton of tech into it. Refrigerators don’t last a decade anymore, my parents always talk on and on about their “icebox” that was 30 years old, but the Maytag installed in 2013 has had 4 new parts put in (one of which STILL doesn’t work).

I’d be more interested in the same type of implant I have now, but just have it last a few more decades. I’d pay extra for that. Not an app

Just my opinion

And remember to keep the password secret so an old lover or ex-spouse does not activate you during a public speaking engagement or deactivate you at a crucial moment

I think it would be better that they develope some mechanism to reduce de infection to 0%. Pills, technique or any stronger antibiotic in the implant.
