Anyone implanted in OR/WA

Postby Richardwad » Thu Jun 17, 2021 4:31 pm

I’m very serious about getting an implant, but would really like to stay more local.
Anyone have surgery in Portland, Spokane, Seattle etc.
Would you recommend your Dr.
Was looking at Dr Ashley Winter, but my insurance doesn’t appear to be accepted there.

Did they actually spare your nerves? You may want to revisit the surgical notes with your RP surgeon. Mine told me he had to remove my nerve bundles from both sides so I went straight to an implant. Cant help on your surgeon hunt.

Supposedly so.
Due to hypertension, I was getting checked up at least annually.
About every two years, would get a PSA along with the other blood work.
My prostate cancer was caught early, stage 1.
Before any spread.

I've emailed an chatted with Dr. Stanley Myers in Portland, didn't end up seeing him or going with him, but he seems to be the one that Titan recommends in the Portland area. He's trained I believe with Perito so is familiar with the suprapubic approach, but does both that and penoscrotal. I felt comfortable enough chatting with him that if I had to have a redo, I may opt to just stay local with him in the future.

I received my implant in January in Portland at OSHU by Dr. Jason Hedges. Assuming I would survive the surgery, loss of length was my main concern. He assured me he would and did do everything he could to avoid that. He was also doing Peyronie's repair with the implant. I can happily recommend Dr. Hedges, a great guy, easy to talk with, and did a great job. I have no regrets about the pump.

Love my Dr Voelzke, here in Spokane has impeccable credentials and outstanding reviews, I know my case has been a challenge for him and myself, We are trying to combat pump rejection so its never 100 percent for anyone you see. Also Dr V is crazy busy, I worry about him lol. Good luck Richard and let us know your next step
