Numbness , 5 weeks post surgery
I am new to group and still figuring out how to use . I had the AMS 700 CX implanted about 5 weeks ago. Seems to be healing well. Doing the half hour pump up once a day , as instructed. My 2 concerns are numbness in the under side of penis from just behind head to incision area on scrotum. Is this normal? The 2 medical staff that I have seen say it will go away. What do you guys think. What is your experience. Also, I have had more urgency to pee since the surgery. Was really bad at first. Got better until about 4 weeks post surgery, when they told me to pump up daily. Pumping up seems to irritate it and urgency cones back. If I skip a day of pumping up, urgency goes away some. I lost a little bit of length. At about 5 1/8” now. Might have been at 5.5 or 6” before surgery. Although as a young man I was probably at 7”. I did pills for years. Then injections for about 8 yrs. the last year or two of injections I never really got full erections. Guess I lost some length . I read that the 700 cx might add girth, but in time will it add length? I am 69 years old.

I was implanted in February and still have numbness along the underside and along the suture line. I am told it will go away, but nerves regenerate very slowly. I do sense it is getting better.
I, sadly, can't help with the urgency issues except to suggest kegeling.

Boatman,
We have the same implant, and I have the same numbness particularly on the underside of my penis. Like rjdoan, it seems to be getting slightly better over time. I had a particularly rough implant surgery due to the larged Peyronie's plaque mass they broke up, and the 3 tries to get one of the cylinders seated properly. To quote my surgeon when I asked him about the numbness, "Not surprised, we beat the hell out of your penis. It will slowly get better over time. Nerves regenerate very slowly. Give it time." Hope this helps, Steve

Completely normal. I massage the area to wake up nerves. It's been working.

Brothers, I surely appreciate your responses. I guess at this point , patience is the key. I will try the massaging suggestion. Guess I am just anxious to get back to normal. I guess it is normal to be a bit scared. Lol.

Numbness and coldness is a very common thing i believe. I have a Titan and my numbness was there for at least 15 months. It takes a long time and varies in individuals so be patient.
