What is going well:
Urination is good. No issues with control. No blood. Drinking a lot of water.
Incision site looks ok. No puss. No fever.
Pain is 6 to 7 without pain meds. 2 to 3 with them. I like everyone else would like to limit them, but they are necessary.
What is still a problem:
Swelling. My scrotum and penis are almost black. Scrotum is still the size of a grapefruit with no improvement in 3 days. Using ice, continuously, 40 minutes on, 20 minutes off...except when sleeping. Taking Ibuprofen at 600mg twice a day. Sleeping well. Found a position that works on my side. 2 pillows between my legs.
I live alone, so limiting movement is difficult. I have to cook, pee, and instructions say to walk once every 2 o 3 hours.

I'm hoping it isn't an infection, yet I don't have a fever and the incision looks good.
I set up a doc appt for Thursday morning to check it out. First post op appt.
