Anyone know why the head is so bruised on this side?

I didn’t think any cutting of the glans occurred

Did anyone else have bruising?

Everyone has some bruising. Mostly it is caused by the needle with suture on it that is fitted through a hole on the prosthesis. The needle is inserted through the glans and the suture material is used to pull the prosthesis fully into the glans. There are 2 tubes in the prosthesis so you will have 2 puncture wounds on the glans. When the surgical team says a 22CM chopped they mean that the prosthesis has a plastic RTE that fits into the crus. Some docs use a shorter prosthesis other really good surgeons trim the attached RTE so that the patient has really good size and still stay within the body's natural size limits.

I suspect you are bruised in the glans (as was I for two weeks) because Dr. Eid pulls the cyclinders into place via needles. Be sure to get the surgery notes from Dr. Eid so you can see how meticulous he is. “..Using the Furlow introducer with trocar the distal tip of the right and left cylinders wre introduced into each corpus by pushng the Keith needle through the glans penis

If you go on line to watch any videos of penile implant surgery surgery you will see that most all use the 2 needles up through the glans on both sides to pull up the cylinders. This is called snake eyes and you can do a search on this forum for it. This is normal. U had then on both sides for my first surgery and only on the left for my second as only the left side as my right side was left in place. As was posted a device is loaded with 2 needles and a suture thread after the suture is passed through the end of the implant cylinder. The device is then inserted up into to glans and the needles pushed through or fired through the glans to come out the the top and the needles are pulled though and removed and the suture thread use to pull the distal end of the cylinder up into the glans. The suture thread is later removed leaving the "snake eyes in the exterior of the glans. All very normal and part of the surgery. They will heal along with every thing else. Rest up and heal.

As has been posted many doctors have the man wail 6 or 8 weeks to activate. Or start cycling. Very few have you start as early as your doctor. Early activation has been shown to prevent size loss pre vs post op.And is why your doctor has you activate early.

Thing look normal in the picture.

Besides bruises to the glans, you should also have somewhat obvious needle marks at some point on each side. The doctor uses a suture and needle attached to the tip of the implant and the a needle is inserted into a long tool. The doctor runs the tool into the corpus cavernosum and then pushes the needle out the tip of the cavernosum and through the glans so the tips can be pulled into the penis fully.

This is done on both sides so you should have what looks like snake-eyes or mouse eyes on your glans. They will bruise too. Perhaps the bruising is more prominent than the needle marks.
