looks like your healing well. With each passing day your bruising & swelling will go away. It took between 9-10 weeks that I could not feel the implant. Everyone is different. Good Luck! Junior

Thank you Junior, definitely looking forward to that. Yesterday I pushed a little too hard I think, drove to grocery store, stocked up, pumped up for 10 minutes, and yeah, by evening I was hurting. Pain was prob 7/10 during night, but I still managed to get some sleep. Noticed some additional (I think?) bruising, sent a pic to Dr. Eid, and he said take break. This makes sense, as I’m on schedule with everything, so I’ll take today off (no cycling). Then ease back into it tomorrow.

Despite the pain, woke up feeling quite positive about things. Thanks for all the support guys, really appreciate it. Helps a lot not going at it alone.

Ok on to some things I’ve been meaning to post before i forget forever. Here’s a list of things that worked well during my trip, and some things that could have been better. Hopefully it helps anyone doing planning (mostly those going for Dr. Eid, as I’ll get pretty specific):

What worked:
Staying at Affinia Gardens was fantastic. Truly. Not having to get in a car after surgery, being able to walk to Dr. Eids office, having a full kitchen, full size freezer for ice, all of that made the experience really great, all things considered.

Having Morten Williams grocery store just a block away meant that I could buy all my meals, everything, day before surgery. They also have bags if ice in the lower level. I bought 8 or so bags, ended up needing about 5.

I went to over half dozen drug stores looking for the Mueller ice bag with the cap, and was beginning to give up hope (most only sell the flat ice pads) but I found some at Gallery Drug about 4-5 blocks away.

Colace was awesome, I had smooth stools the whole time. I was a bit nervous after no poo 2 days after surgery, so took (too much) milk of magnesia. That shit works too good. I took 45Ml, but would start with 15Ml if I had it to do over. Doc was worried when I told him I was taking colace, because I could have diarrhea on operating table (since anesthesia relaxes, or something) and I was like dude your instructions say to do that! Anyway, luckily I had a bowel movement literally 10 minutes before procedure, so that was all good.

Affinia Gardens as mentioned, was great, but it’s expensive! I stayed at the Leo house for the first 3 days, and just walked or ubered to the pre-op appts and covid test. I checked into Affinia day before surgery so I had time to get groceries, get room how I wanted etc.

What could have been better:
I forgot to measure my pre op length/girth aroused so I had some kind of baseline.

I forgot to bring my vacc card. Apparently now if you’re vaccinated I think you can skip the covid test, which would’ve been a huge relief. I was honestly more worried about that than anything else. The idea of spending thousands of dollars on hotel, food, flight, etc and getting rejected because of positive covid test was really stressful. Anyway, I would verify this with Dr. Eid’s staff (Ruby or Janice) just to be sure it’s still the case.

Some of Dr. Eids online material conflicts with their most current advice. For example, now you’re supposed to take antibiotics morning after surgery, even though docs day 1 day prior. Online stuff repeatedly mentions cycling starting at 14 days, but really they want to start at 3. Things like that. I get that recommendations change over time, so this isn’t a big criticism, but there’s s ton of stuff to remember throughout all this, and it’s super easy to get confused about things, so make sure you ask a lot of questions at pre-op appointment so you fully understand what you should be doing.

I think that’s about it for now.

Thank you for sharing the info. I am going in on the 24th and my pre-op instructions are a lil confusing. I thought it was just me. Will definitely seek more clarity!

Glad you found it helpful. I just read your posts and it’s interesting how similar our situations seem to be. I have high SHBG as well, and this has definitely affected my libido. That, coupled with moderate T levels (high 400’s typically) is a recipe for low libido, as yeah, my free T was usually shit. I did TRT for 5 years, during which time my libido went up, but it never helped a ton with maintaining my erections. If I even got an erection, it wouldn’t last. Because I supplemented with HCG, I was able to quit the TRT without much hassle. Eid said if I hadn’t done that I’d have been screwed, so I’m definitely happy I went that route. Lesson for me: TRT didn’t do jack to help with erections in my particular case. It did help with libido however.

Why did I quit TRT if it helped my libido? Well, I was worried about hair loss, and enlarging my prostate (which did happen), and I hated poking myself with needles every other day (between T and HCG). Also, I was using trimix at the time, so yeah, needles got reallly tiresome. Also, having testosterone levels for that are high can negatively impact your immune system, and that’s no good, especially during a pandemic.

That was over a year ago that I quit. Weird thing is, I got on low dose daily cialis recently not for sex, but rather because it can help with BPH. After about 40 days, I noticed a definite increase in my erection quality, to the point where I started to question whether I wanted an implant. Ultimately though, I realized I’d still always wonder during sex, if things were going to work, which impacts the pleasure a lot. Also, I posted a story somewhere on FT where I ended up in bed with a 25 year old last year, but she was super nervous, and it took forever to actually penetrate her because she was so tight. I am absolutely certain if I was just in cialis, I would’ve lost my erection in frustration, but because I was on trimix, I just relaxed, which made her relax, and it was all good in the end. The lesson for me was that, after 25+ years of some kind of ED, I don’t want my remaining sex years to be hindered by things like that.

Anyway, back to your posts. I found it really interesting what you said about the positive aspects of high SHBG. I had never really considered that, and ya turns out my PSA is really low, low enough that Eid said my likelihood of getting prostate cancer was very small, so maybe there’s a correlation there.

I’m looking forward to reading about your experience, please keep us all posted on your progress!

Well I’m back to being disappointed again. I’ve read over and over that the cylinder tips should be at least somewhat in the glans, and my cylinders are not quite entering the glans. I think Dr. Eid chopped too much off. He said “if” after I try it out first time, that I have floppy glans, just come back for a revision in 3 months. As if it’s just like swapping a defective phone or something. I appear to have lost 1cm, which of course isn’t great, but floppy head would be worse. This sucks.

I think in one or two month you will recover it. There are several people who after the surgery had less lenght, but after one or two month of cicling, the recovered it.

Hey! my friend....i cant thank you enough for sharing this. Our situations are so similar that i felt like you was telling my story! im literally in your same exact path.. prior to reading your post I too was second guessing the surgery because I am getting noctornal erections from the daily cialis also. Literally last night meet two gorgeous girls that were clearly interested in me...and I practically ran away..smh. I know thats my fear of failure that is so far gone that I need to do this! Thank you again...hearing someone truly on my same exact path is everything!

Im hoping your glans issue is more associated with not being max inflated oppose to undersizing.. keeping my fingers crossed!!

Thanks for the link, hadn’t read that story. It does seem like some people regain some length. More worried about floppy glans, but maybe that will resolve itself. Just masturbated for the first time, and it was a little floppy, but it’s still early I guess.

Man I absolutely know that feeling. How many times I’ve had to “pass” on sex with some hot girl because I knew I wouldn’t be able to do it. It got so bad I really started fooling myself to avoid confronting the issue, like “oh she smokes, gross, I wouldn’t want to be with someone who does that”, stupid shit like that, when in reality I’d take her to bed straight away if I could. Crazy how similar our situations are, the pain of missed opportunities like that, over the years, it’s devastating. I absolutely cannot wait to try and catch up on all the missed opportunities in the months ahead.

Anyway, keep in touch my friend, would love to know how you’re progressing!
