Hey everyone,
So I am trying to cover all worst case scenarios to make sure I've a backup plan for each, but one situation I am unsure how I will handle it.
So say I fly from the UK to NYC for my implant. I come back to the UK and develop an infection. I then try to fly back to NYC but the airport tests for covid and tells me i'm positive... and therefore can't fly.
What is my back up plan here?!! If I wander into a regular hospital will they know how to remove an implant?? I don't think anyone within 100 miles do implants, so I'm seeing amputation or death here! Lol.
I will be speaking to my local Uro about this for a proper answer, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any thoughts?
Cheers.

Why not just "cover all bases" by getting the vaccine?

I have the vax. But you can test positive asymptomatically, although unlikely. Another scenario is that I develop an infection and have a fever and nausea that stops me flying or traveling, what do I do then? Sounds like a grim situation to be in!

The testing of travelers will be over in a few months. By the time you make up your mind, arrainge the money & get the implant. Testing should be a distant memory.
You're worrying too much.
