New Implant 04/2021. Information and guidance appreciated

Firstly I'd like to thank all who contribute here. I spent hours and hours reading through the implant forums prior to surgery and I have to say it really helped me. And this is coming from someone who was in complete denial and point blank refused to even consider an implant 6months ago. I had my surgery a little over 4 weeks ago AMS LGX 18CM 3cmRTE. I would like to share my post operative experiences and ask a few questions I hope some may be able to help me with.

I had a rocky start post surgery, not actual implant related but an issue with my veins- which I suffered with all my life. Thankfully all improving by the day. I was initially inflated with my surgeon 3weeks post op. Like a lot of people I was a little dissapointed initially in my size. I definitely have lost nearly 1/2 inch in length and possibly a little more in girth. I have read this is common and may return with cycling. I am cycling twice a day now for around 40min each time. I can only get around 5 full pumps in before the pump becomes rock solid. I try squeeze more in every 5min, sometimes it works, sometimes not. I have read the AMS LGX takes a while to "break in/ soften". I think it is definitely starting to stretch as the more I try to squeeze in the more stinging pain I can feel in the top of my penis. I can feel the tops of the tubes too.

I hope some here could reasure and possibly answer some of my questions and of course if anyone awaiting surgery etc. wants to ask me anything I'd really like to help if I can.

1. I was told 6 weeks before sex. At the moment I think size and pain when inflated as much as I currently can would put me off sex.

2. How long after surgery for masterbation and ejaculation. I am eager to see how this works out prior to attempting full sex with my partner.

3. I have read many with AMS LGX (and of course Titan too)were initially dissapointed with size. Then after a while were encouraged with gradual growth return. Roughly how long was it before you noticed a return in size? I am cycling twice a day.

4. How long did you find it took for the pump to begin to soften? As stated above, I can currently only get around 5 full pumps before it goes rock solid. Penis is feeling small stretch but definitely more room to get harder I think.

5. The skin of my penis, in particular near the top (uncircumcised) is a small bit dry. I started putting some moisturiser on it yesterday. Has anyone expierienced this?

I got a Titan implant in October. It sounds like some of the timeliness and protocols between our doctors are different.

My doctor left me 60% inflated for two weeks. Then he fully deflated me, and I stayed that way for another six weeks until he had an opening for me to return. During that time, both sexof any kind and masturbating were off limits.

Now, here are my answers to your questions.

1. Yes, I was given the go ahead for sex and masturbating after eight weeks. But it took a while for any of that to go well. It took time for me to regain sensitivity and not feel pain and discomfort. It may take a few months for things to feel good.

2. Masturbating felt better before sex. I would say around a month ahead of sex.

3. I've been happy with my size since the start. I haven't noticed any change in my size, and I inflate once a day.

4. I've noticed the pump being softer during the past couple of weeks.

5. I don't have experience with this.

Hey, welcome to the brotherhood. I have an LGX so I will do my best to answer as much as I can.

1. Your doctor says you can have sex now and masturbation is sex. So you can but it is up to you if you want to. Try heat. It helps soften not only the device but your tissue as well. Hot shower or I used a heating pad. Hot baths only when cleared for by your doctor. So check your discharge instructions. If you do not masturbate at least try to massage your penis to help stretch the tissue. But heat really is your friend with this.

2.I had trouble with ejaculation/orgasm after surgery. Some time I would get tired and give up. But it did get better. No way to tell for sure as we are all different so no need to how long it took me even if I could remember, Just keep working on cycling and do worry about it it will happen when it's ready.

3. I had gains out past a year. But that was a lot of work over that time. If your doctor has you cycling 40 minutes twice a day then that is what you should do. After your doctor releases you then I think 30 minutes twice a day would be fine but I am not a doctor so it is up to you.

4. Again heat will soften it. I can't remember how long before I did not need heat. But as I wrote above it is about softening your tissue as well as your device. If I had to guess I would say 2 months.

5. I did not and I am circumcised.

This can take months to fully heal and sometimes longer to adjust to. So relax and keep up your cycling work it will pay off. Don't push to hard with this but do your best to cycle every day. Good luck going forward with this,

Thank you so much for your replies. I find sharing and gaining an insight from those who have years of experience with their implants as invaluable.

Just regarding question 5. I am on antibiotics at the moment and it is in fact these leaving all my skin a little bit dry so I am not worried about this any longer.

Could I also ask if anyone still uses viagra etc for engorgement?
Or if anyone uses a ved after implant surgery?

I think all doctors have their own set of preferences in terms of when they fully deflate after surgery etc. And when they allow you to return to sex , and how often you should be cycling at the start. My surgeon implants approx 200 a year, so I am more than happy with him and his advice. Its great to hear the minor differences though , very interesting.

Seems like everyone’s recovery varies and doctors instructions vary. Dr. Eid’s patients can start pumping as early as Day 3 and take baths as well.

With that said, the pump (Titan) was like a rock for the 1st month; needed two hands to squeeze it. If allowed, pumping while taking a warm bath makes it easier. As for size, I read people here gain size but that seems to vary as well. I can say that taking Viagra can help plump up your penis so it doesn’t look so flat. (I’m in the same boat)
