If you CAN take a full week off work, I would do it. I have to stand most of the day with my job, but even sitting, there was so much swelling that would occur in the penis being upright, the first week especially. It wasn't pain that limited me, but the feeling and appearance of the swelling that bothered me being upright.

Last pre-op pics: tumescent

This is after injecting a full cc of my bimix solution. In pics 2 and 3, I'm also wearing a cockring. I might get a little harder during play than when trying to instruct my partner how to operate my camera, but pretty much, this is what I live with: a somewhat voluminous cock, but with a weird shape and all the rigidity of a condom filled with tofu.

Dr. Eid measured me to 17 cm (6.7") square. Well, not really square, but the same measurement in both directions: 17 cm long and 17 cm around. That's interesting, because I've always given my stats as 7.5" x 6", and I really believed those were my true measurements. So I'm shorter but fatter than I thought.

Being shorter might be attributed to more creative ways of measuring. Here on FrankTalk, "bone-pressed" seems to be the standard, but I have a feeling that in the larger gay world, you measure along the side, or from your balls forward, giving you an extra inch or so. How otherwise can everyone be 7" plus?

But being thicker than I thought actually worries me. I think I really used to be 6", but now I'm 6.7". For me, that is not an improvement, because I think it might mean that my tunica albuginea is in fact weak and keeps yielding to the pressure from inside. I fear that that process might accelerate when I start pumping up the implant, making me ever thicker, but never really hard. I don't want to have a heavy bean bag between my legs; I want a hard cock that can be used for fucking.

Well, the implant is my only hope; I've already tried everything else. Surely what I get will be better than what I have.

Thank you, LuisFernandez! I use bimix. I used trimix for a long time, but didn't like the ache it gave me, so switched to bimix. It's very irregular how often I use it. On average, probably less than once a week. But I've been doing it for a long time. I started about thirty years ago, but had a hiatus of about ten years when Viagra came out.

Morning of the surgery

It's 5:15 AM and I'm about to get a car and head to the hospital. Check-in time is at 6:00.

I felt strangely nostalgic soaping up my non-implanted dick in the shower. I hate not being able to get hard, but I do like my flaccid dick. I'm sure I'll be fine with the implanted one too, but still: just a twinge of nostalgia at knowing it will never feel like this again.
